New to the forum, got my 2021 Tradesman 3500 Cummins 5th gen on Dec 31st. Had a 2018 2500 before that. Looking forward to the upgrade towing my toy hauler. Have done the Banks diff cover, added a aux tank and the 12" radio upgrade so far. Love the truck

Nice, welcome aboard, there is a liftgate release and remote start mod you can do as well if you havent already.

I tried to don the startx remote starter last winter. But didn't work, what I need from them is some programming support. What I'm trying to do now is adapt 2018 taillights for my truck. I absolutely hate the stock taillights.

there is a thread on here about all of those items, individually/independently of course
on teh tail light s you can do the 2020+ i believe and get the Blind Spot cross traffic addon enabled if that didnt come with your truck.

I figured there would be. I'll be diging into the threads as i go along.

i will see what i can dig up from memory and browsing
Thanks. I appreciate that. What I want to do is figure out a wire harness to make the lights I already have work. I have hooked them up but I'm having problems with when I have the brake on the light is not getting the signal to flash that direction. Just the brake light stays on. I don't like the fancy oem taillights mutch. And I have no plans to add blind spot detection.

May be @Jimmy07 can help you here, he makes harnesses that help you interface diff tailights and may have more insight on your particular case or point you in the right direction.

Pre-2019 tails are for trucks configured for combined rear lighting, so they don’t have turn signal circuits. You’ll need to use AlfaOBD to re-configure the rear lighting to combined instead of separated.

Ok I guessed it was something like that. Cam I dm you about it? I don't know much about alphaobd. For my 12" radio install it came with a obd genie and a security bypass.

A remote starter in MN is a necessity. From WY now but owned several Ram diesels during the decades I lived in MN. The remote will be handy at -20, especially ice fishing.
