New light bar option

I’m personally shy of blocking airflow to the grille for cooling reasons, though I’m sure it’s fine because a) naturally aspirated engine b) I’m sure the radiator is overbuilt for users that are towing/loaded heavy up steep mountains

Air goes around things. Air would go right around the lights and into the radiator. They would have to be very large lights to push air around the radiator

Yeah I wouldn’t worry about airflow. These trucks have active grille shutters for goodness sake! Half the time I get out of my truck and look and they’re closed… Clearly the cooling system is more than up to snuff if the engineers felt the need to literally shut things down once in a while

Hmm. So watching my gages, a lot of times my water temp is above 210, even though it's not hot outside. Or us it ok for them to run hotter?

Mine is consistently 215-220ish. Seems hot compared to past cars I’ve had but research tells me this is where all the 6.4s seem to sit

Not all gas engines. Seems like newer ones run warmer but 190-210 was fairly normal across the board through the 90’s and into the early 2000’s.

Diesels are another story

So did some homework, this is from a 1500 with a randy ellis bar provided from their nice lady on the phone. The other is from their website on a 2500. Doesn't look like it'll be too bad
