Hey guys, I’m peewee (yes, my real name, haha). My 2015 Cummins is out of warranty and I’m having transmission issues. Also (Unrelated) my ‘96 Powerstroke also needs a transmission. I’m in Colorado, and ATS diesel is literally a stones throw away. I’ve heard horror stories of their workmanship and warranty, but they seem like honest people to me. Plus, all those threads badmouthing them are all at least a decade old. Thoughts?

Sounds like your transmissions gave you the old Mecka-lecka Hi Mecka-hiney Ho? Anyhow I never ran any ats products but like any massive company y there will be some with issues and the quiet majority never says a thing. The good thing is if there is an issue you can go see them vs call them from across the country.

Haha, yes, they have. I just now got that reference :)
Yeah, the close location makes ATS a very attractive option for me.

ATS is still a sh!tshow. There's decent builders around, one in Castle Rock I can't think of the name ATM.

If you go ATS be thankful they're close, you'll (your trucks) will be spending a lot of time there assuming you can fight past their after the sale CS BS. You've been warned.

What makes them so bad? I’ve bought parts from them (diff covers, turbos, etc) and they’ve all fit well. I guess I don’t understand the bad rap, but I appreciate the input.

If you have trans issues (likely) after the sale they will jerk you around. They overcharge for mediocre parts and don't stand behind their products.

Their website says 5 year/500k mile warranty- is it no good, even if the install work was done at the ATS headquarters in Arvada?
