New Ford

Picked up the new (not Ram) truck this weekend. I have to say it is sweet. Been a Ram dude for years (had 04, 13, 14, 19) and Ford builds a nice truck. I was worried about the 4.30 gear set and not able to cruise on the highway at 80, but no problems. At 70 its turning 2100. At 80 its turning 2350. My 14 Ram with cummins, Aisin and 4.10 gears it was screaming at 80. In addition, the motor has no problems turning those RPMs where the cummins seems pushed above 2200 or 2300 rpms. It could cruise at 80 but never felt happy and got nasty mileage. I averaged over 15 (lie-o-meter) on trip back from Columbus, Ohio to NJ varying speed from 70 to 80. Overall I'm very happy!!! I'll see how it pulls when I get the RV in a few weeks.

I never thought of a Ford until my Ram order kept getting delayed, researched the F450 and test drove one. There is always "OPTION B". LOL

I especially like the look of the rear fenders. Just stuck on there like the 80’s awesome! Maybe I should say that that was sarcasm..so the Ford people will get it
Anyhow a short blip from the other side of the fence is ok I guess but the lengthy Ford ramblings should maybe be on a Ford site.

2 things keep me from buying a ford: (1) those seriously FUGLY rear fenders (2) the easily ripped aluminum body panels. There maybe more, but this are biggies for me.

It was thoughtful of them to put foot steps underneath the fog lights.

You’ll need them as often as you’ll have the hood up.
