Hello everyone. So after 50 years of owning trucks (Gas) I took the leap.
Just purchased a 2025 Ram 2500 currently getting a BDS 4 inch lift, and 35 inch KO2s

To be honest, the more I dive into late model diesels, the more I wonder if I made the right choice. (Watching too many Youtube videos) Based on carbon buildup in the engine due to ridiculous EPA regs.
Don't get me wrong, love the truck, but I am searching for options to get this thing breathing properly. Even deleting depending on how much tech (programming) is currently available for this engine.

So anyway, I am here to learn from you die hard lifer diesel gurus.

Welcome. It's gonna be a long while before us 25+ guys can delete. I don't expect anyone to solve it anytime soon.

In my opinion you picked the right time to move over. New trans, newly redesigned engine to include how they solve the DPF with the injector. I'm hoping we don't see much fuel dilution in the oil and it's looking promising so far. I wouldn't be too terribly worried about carbon from the EGR, but who knows now, my truck hardly uses DEF.

Thats good news. I found a vid that said I should run my exhaust brake all the time to help keep things clean, Sounds reasonable from what I do know.
Once the warranty is up (or close to it) depending on how things are going, I would consider deleting because I usually keep my trucks for a while.
But for now, I am going to see how the new version runs. I have driven it 400 miles and have seen no movement on the DEF yet.
