New Build - A true off road champion….

Yea that’s the wife’s. Got it off lease for a steal cause nobody wanted it. Apparently it’s hard to move a murdered out suburban on 24s that can’t go over a parking block. We got it with 18k miles for $32k a month before covid. We were getting offers for 45 from the same dealership last year lol but those have since stopped.

Drives like absolute dog sheet but she loves it so that’s all the matters I guess. You feel every single pot hole in your spine.
 
Haha I don't doubt any of that one bit. Sure looks nice!

My wife is due for a kid hauler upgrade soon.
 
All good to go and looking mean. Still waiting on the lower sway bar from carli so it pulls a little to the right.

65gallon S&B tank installed. It only sits about an inch lower that the old one. Takes up the entire longbed all the way to the axel. Thing is massive. Cost me $316 to fill up had to use multiple credit cards cause the machine inside was broken and the pump has a limit.

Chrome deleted the grill but couldn’t find anyone that wanted to paint and finish over the chrome the same as truck so color matched the raptor liner and glossed it after. Not sure if I love it yet but definitely a huge upgrade over the chrome. (I hate chrome)

Did you paint those badges? If so I'm curious how you did it, especially the cummins logo "fill" area. I've thought a few times about doing mine but I wasn't sure how I could get that fill done correctly without multiple stages and was concerned it wouldn't come out well.
 
Multiple stages and a lot of tedious taping on the turbo diesel badge. The 3500 and the large ram logo come apart into different pieces so that was easy
 
Welp, was hoping you had some sort of fancy secret but I guess it's plain ole patience and process, which is why mine are still oem…

Might want to look up liquid masking. Basically paint it on, can trim with a light touch of an xacto, do your painting, peel it off. Never used it for something like this but worked fairly decent back in my young days working for a hobby shop.

Did you tape off the grille or remove it for the raptor liner? I taped mine off the first time. I’m torn whether to remove it when I re-do it. I’ve had the grille off before, it’s not a super fun job

I may plastidip it again or I may raptor line it. The plasti dip is over 18 months old and still looks ok, I feel like it will need to be re done at the 2 year mark.
 
Took the grill off and popped off each of the little triangle pieces individually. I didn’t think I could do a clean job with it on the truck. Once they were off it was a piece of cake to spray.

Just a heads up….

Buddy installing said it would clear. This was a lie. Ended up trimming plastic that didn’t matter and rounded off the pinch weld a little. Not bad overall but a few different blades on the grinder were necessary. Not a big deal but just an fyi. What got me is the 10” wide vs 9”. It’s a -18 offset swing in the wrong direction.
 
Swapped out the front windshield speakers for the kickers everyone recommends and it’s a big difference. Much more crisp and clear lyrics and highs in general. Ones that come with it are junk. I’m shocked alpine would put their name on the truck and have ram install that POS

Screw in the back is a bitch to get to. Scratched my tint a little. Kinda pissed about that one
