Installed my PullRite Super 5th single point hitch yesterday; fairly easy install. Easy to remove the head plate when not in use. Base unit comes out pretty easy too if I need the entire truck bed for hauling stuff.

What is under the bed at the points where the hitch rails sit on the bed? It is reenforced there?I see you have the 5th wheel/gooseneck prep package.

How does this hitch compare to other 5th wheel hitches you have owned? More less chucking or movement? does the head move port and starboard as well as fore
and aft?

Those are called "bed savers." They absorb the vibration movement of the hitch thus saving wear on the bed liner and more importantly they supposedly reduce lateral rotation of the hitch on the gooseneck ball. I bought their gooseneck ball and chain plate (rated for 30K).
I haven't towed with it yet, no idea about how much, if any chucking. Doesn't appear to have much for lateral movement and the hitch plate naturally rotates up and down for hitching.

I had a Pullrite 25K for 18 years. Great hitch. I had one of the first 2003 HD trucks around. The 2003 HD trucks were the first year for the hydroformed frames. Chrysler said you could not drill the frame to install a hitch and they refused to tell me how to install a fifth wheel hitch. I went around and around with them. Their mantra was "We do NOT recommend to drill the frame." Pullrite came to the rescue by inviting me to bring my truck to the factory so they could engineer a prototype mount for the truck. I had the upper part but no way to mount it. 8 hours later I left the Pullrite plant with my new hitch installed at no charge. The mount wrapped around the frame and used existing frame holes to hold it in place. They were just great people and that hitch was bullet proof.

Cool story!

I’m using the Pullrite Superglide 2315 with my 2019 Ram limited 3500 crew cab. It’s solid, well built and works great! I guess if I was to critique anything I’d say it’s weight is a negative. I set up a 1300lb hoist from Harbor Freight bolted through trusses in my garage and it handles the heavy lifting of that hitch just fine.

I've got a chain fall setup on my car port. I use it to lift my hitch in/out. As well as my generator.

That's the beauty of a single point hitch weight, it can be removed without breaking one's back.

I like the security of the 4 mounting points. Unless I go with a built gooseneck trailer.

Has anyone used, or know about the Blue Ox super ride hitch? Like the idea of it breaking down into three pieces, and it being a "sliding" hitch. Not much reviews out, but what is out, is positive.

Ordered a new 5th wheel toy hauler to replace my current tt toy hauler, and pin weight (using gvwr of trailer @ 20%) is going to be near or at payload (cat scale), so trying to keep weight down. Next step would be a long bed with the added payload and additional 8' turning radius that comes with it, but I really like the short bed, and no to a dually, not interested.

I really like these hitches. I have installed a few at our RV dealership. When I go to a 5th wheel, this is the hitch I will use. Prety easy to break down and remove from the truck

Thanks, I ended up going with a Reese 20K hitch for the RAM puck system, and a Reese Sidewinder pinbox. First trip was last week, and worked pretty well, it was nice knowing that I didn't have to worry about hitting the cab.
