Have a 2014 f350 4x4 6.2 dually dump for plowing and work. No longer need dump . Looking for around 2019 Ram 6.4 with a back seat but can’t find something with 4:10 gears . Thinking 4:10 gearing is a must have. I’m I wrong?

I mean, that's really an individual choice based on needs...

I had a 1500 with the 3.92 and mileage *sucked* and that's with the truck having the automatic suspension and 'aero mode' for highway driving.
My 2500 is my DD when the weather is bad and with the 3.73 gets, better mileage than the 1500 and I'm not going to be towing anything over 10K so I had no interest in 4.10s

My first post was not clear. Want to be able to plow snow . Have accounts that I want to keep. Want a truck that will handle heavy wet snow

With as low as 1st gear is in these 8 spds. 4.10 or 3.73 is going to have no bearing on pushing snow. If the truck has what you want get it.

4 low is gonna have even more power. The 6.4l will make that 6.2l seem like an old 302 ford.

There really is hardly a difference between the 2. If the Ford did it well, the RAM WILL do it better with either 3.73 or 4.10

That’s the type of answers I’m looking for!

Having owned both 4.10 and 3.73, I would not go back to 3.73, the leverage is worth the slight mileage penalty
