My PW died.

This happened to a friend's Lexus hybrid. Twice! Insurance paid for it both times but said they would not cover it a third time. She sold the car and bought something else. She didn't have the problem with the new car. They really loved Toyota wiring.

I know one issue is that since I work from home, the truck just sits for days. I guess something thought it would make a good meal.

The last word I got late yesterday. Waiting for a PCM to be shipped to the dealership, I had little hope it would get there today. So I'm guessing I probably won't get the truck back until Tuesday maybe Wednesday.

things keep going the way they are going might need to just have rodent soup...I know someone will complain.....I got warned I was being kicked off ramforum for saying thanks joe
Pro tip for fattening up your possums, they love cheap cat food. Substitute 4 small critters for a good size possum.

Ive got a fat possum that roams around my property all night.. catch him on the cameras all the time.

Sorry OP! Doesnt sound fun. Definitely gotta figure out a way to get rid of those bastards.

Still waiting for PCM install and programming. Kinda on edge, not having the truck around, I just want it back already. Also talked to mgt company for the apt complex; they have no garages available to rent, so once I get it back I still have to park it outside. I'll change locations where it was parked and run it more often when I am home.

Update: I got the truck back and drove it about three miles home. It was perfect, THEN about a block away from the apt, the check engine light popped on. Maybe a left over error code? I'll call tomorrow and take it back if I have to.

Diesel and DEF both have ammonia which is used as a repellent. Both can also be found in a Cummins.
Must be a gasoline thing…..

Glad you found the root cause of the initial failure. Figure out a way to keep rats and rodents off the truck.

What was the code?
