My Limited truck was built without the Trailer Reverse Guidance programmed in the BCM

If you're talking about this view:

View attachment 20793

I have this on my 2020 Limited level 1.
Yup, that's the view I am missing and thought I was getting with the Tow Tech Group. That's the view they show for the tow tech package on Ram's build and price page. I didn't get Level 1. I didn't want the HK sound system since I had planned to upgrade the system with a JL Audio system anyway. I got everything else in Level 1 with the exception of the HK system. I am now starting to regret that decision. If it's just a matter of programming I will try to convince the local dealer to reprogram it.

Yep, I have it on my 2020 Bighorn with Towing Technology. But, I believe you actually have to select that particular view for it to appear on the screen.
I know. Trust me, that is not one of the available views on my screen.

I wasn’t criticizing the OP; I didn’t know that tech was a thing.

Seems like cool tech, if you’re into tech.
I didn't take it as a criticism. I just think it's misleading to post that picture on the build and price page. They could have shown about four other views instead, but showed the only one you don't get. I think that view would be helpful backing a trailer into a really tight space, with close obstacles on both sides.

I mean… I get why your upset. But that’s option you are asking about comes on the 2022s. You also could have asked your dealer to clarify if it didn’t make sense. Besides, $995 sounds RIDICULOUSLY cheap for what you are asking for.

I'm a little upset, sure. I was just saying it's a misleading picture. I did ask the dealer AFTER I received the truck and he agreed it was very misleading. I didn't realize the mistake until I had possession of the truck. I just naturally assumed you got the view that is shown. The main purpose of starting this thread was to let everyone else who might be considering that package, that you don't get the view that is shown, and to see if anyone else got fooled and was able to resolve the issue. It's just seems a little random, and confusing why on different trim levels the Tow Tech groups vary. You would think if that view was offered on the Tradesman Tow Tech package that it would be on the Limited as well.

Just to be clear- the picture shown on the build and price site is not misleading, because that view IS included in that package (and any 2020+ ram with surround view). It’s just unique that they seemed to have missed that setting when your truck was built and your BCM was configured.

This is the solution.

Make them re-install/flash the BCM with all the correct sales codes.

Ok. Thanks. I hope you are correct, then the dealer will have to resolve the issue.

I just found a thread on Ramforumz titled "missing trailer reverse guidance". Same problem from an owner of a 2021 3500 Limited. He said his dealer is confused why he isn't getting that view. Ram Cares emailed him and basically said it couldn't be added, and apologized for the confusion. I'm making an appointment tomorrow with the dealer and advise them what Jimmy07 & Brutal said to do; Re-install/Flash the BCM with the correct sales codes. XPU is the sales code for Trailer Reverse Guidance. I'll keep you posted.

Went to the dealer Thursday morning to resolve the issue. When driving there I noticed the TPMS suddenly wasn't working. I have had the aftermarket wheels on for 3 weeks and TPMS has worked flawlessly. Even though I had an appointment they said they were backed up and to leave the truck overnight and they would address the two problems Friday. They called me Friday afternoon and said take the truck back to Discount tire to address the TPMS. They also said they couldn't flash/re-install the sales code for Trailer Reverse Guidance even if I paid to do it. That it couldn't be done. They obviously didn't care if that view was pictured on Ram's website.
It just happens to be a misleading picture and false advertising imho. But apparently nothing can be done about it.
Still love the truck though. Here's a few random pics.

That just means that the XPU sales code is not made available to the dealer to flash. If you want the trailer reverse guidance view to show, you’ll have to do it yourself with AlfaOBD. It can definitely do it.

I have that on my 2020 Larmie Longhorn it is handy to look at if your mirror is not giving you all the info of what is there . Another tool never hurts !

Post a pic of your back screen up screen . There should be different images you can bring up

Your screen should look like this if you have it. If not l would talk to someone because it is in the TT group . Check your build sheet and see if it is broke down by item . No way you should not have gotten it on a limited model . The pic just to the right of the blue image should be on your screen . Your dealer is full of it and lazy .

Thanks Jimmy.

I ordered a 2500 Limited and opted for the Towing Technology Group mainly because I wanted the camera view of being able to see both sides of the trailer simultaneously when backing up. On Ram's Build & Price page that is the camera view they show for the Tow Tech Package. Unfortunately when the truck arrived I didn't have that view available. Apparently that view is called Trailer Reverse Guidance. I think it is very misleading to show that view for the Tow Tech Group to only find out when you receive the truck that is the one view that is not included. I called FCA to complain and they said talk to the dealer. I called dealer and they said call FCA. Is it just a matter of programming to get that view since the side mirror cameras are there which are included in the surround view camera system? I noticed on the Level 1 Equipment Group, Trailer Reverse Guidance is listed which leads me to believe it may just be a matter of programming. The local dealer service advisor said it may be a totally different computer and nothing can be done to correct the problem, which didn't make sense to me. It pisses me off they show a picture of an option only to find out later you don't get what's shown.
That sucks. It's a nice little feature, just wish it would stay on instead of going away every 5 or 10 seconds. What does your window sticker look like? I've attached mine. Its listed in my Towing Technology Group on my 2019.
