Well I have now owned the truck long enough to discuss the things I like and dislike about the 2019 Ram 2500 with 6.4 Hemi. Overall I am extremely satisfied with my purchase and if I had to buy one over again it would be the same truck!

Pros:
The ride is good for a 3/4 ton unless you are on one of those highway that are uneven. The Ram goes over bumps and pot holes fine but the back end will bounce on uneven concrete roads.

I love the look and feel of driving the this truck. While it is big it really doesn't seem like it driving. Steering is tight and responsive.

Pulling my 20' bass boat with this truck is night and day compared to my 2011 F-150. It's like I forget its even there and I also do not notice an increase in RPM's while pulling.

MPG, surprisingly it isn't bad. My 2011 F-150 I average 14.1mpg(Leveled and 34" tires) this truck I am averaging 15.5mpg and after 8k miles I have never reset it!

Truck is quite on the road(well compared to my old truck)

Cons:
I think the low beam headlights are not good. When turning right at night there is no light that you can see where you are going until you make the turn. This is dangerous to me and the only thing I really hate about this truck. Also, they are not very bright. (Anyone replaced bulbs to something better?)

The 8.4 screen: While nice when it works it will randomly reboot on me or sometimes will just sit at loading please wait for 3-5 minutes before finally rebooting then working. This happens a few times a week!

Brakes, While the brakes are okay they are not great. Maybe its just me getting used to a new truck but it seems I have to press on the pedal way more for it to stop.

Thanks for the review. If you are comparing the brake FEEL to your F150...remember...this trucks base weight is the F150s gross vehicle weight rating.

The f150 probably weighed about 5500 with a GVWR of about 7000 while your truck weighs about 7000 with a GVWR of 10000. I think alot of people overlook this when they cone to the HD world.

Just, saying this, as food for thought. Some complain about the brakes, I havent felt any issue on my 4th Gen, but i havent driven a 1500 in decades. So. I may just feel mine are sufficient

I am still very upset the tradesman doesnt offer the front floor console and The rear storage bins. Why they took that away makes no sense.

I am glad to see the tradesman can get some of the higherend tech now though.

Hope the truck keeps performing well for you.

I put the katana H11 from amazon in my low beam and I love them for the value. Much better light than stock. $50 ish bucks for the set. Only problem is DRL mode will cause pulsing due to what I heard is a varying output the truck puts out in this mode that slightly dims a halogen, but causes this pulsing in the LED. I turned off the DRL option through the computer and no problem, no codes either. With a little finagling everything fit behind the dust cover. If you do swap those low beams go in through the wheel well liner, not from above.

I think you can fix that DRL issue with AlphaOBD.

You must have gotten the base light package, my 19’ has the LED headlights and they are the best lights I’ve ever had on any Ram / Dodge that I have owned. And when you turn on your turn signal or rotate your steering wheel to a certain point, the driving / fog light will turn on to light up the corner in the direction you are turning. It’s a great system.

I just got mine, came from a 2014 F-150 Max Tow with the 3.5 Ecoboost. I'm getting 2-3 MPG better. My F150 was lifted 2" front and back with 33's. I'm sure once I tow it'll settle down some but with the Ecoboost I had to run good gas, it never ran right on Ethanol, it would surge and stumble so I ran 91 most of the time. Might as well had a diesel!

I've never had any issues at all with the 8.4 Uconnect system. Nothing like you describe. Sounds like you might have a loose connection somewhere in the system, or some internal component is failing. Dealer should be able to track it down.

Does anyone have a Uconnect email, I need to sort out why the android won’t mirror and need to send some photos.

Take it in and tell them to fix your 8.4 . My 14 had the same crap lights you have they are bad . I got some HIDS from diode dynamics they were still working when i sold the truck Now they sell LEDS aA

Were they just direct replacement or did you have to do anything special?

Ordered some LED's from Headlight Revolution GTR CSP minis along with the PWM modules for the DRL issue. Fantastic lights, not too bright to "dazzle" other drivers from the halogen housing. Halogen housing with the LED's cures the side light issue. The GTR's are crisp on the cut-off so you don't blind the on-coming driver.

How hard was the install?

It takes a bit of "fiddling" to get the bulbs to make the lock turn, but it can be done. Since I purchased the PWM modules as well, I believe that was the main issue. I did have to buy a plug extension off Amazon to get the PWM modules to fit with the bulbs as they are not a "guaranteed' fit by HR. The PWM module have a long plug which made it impossible to lock in the lights. I didn't want the "guaranteed" fit bulbs as I didn't want the lights to be blinding.

It had taken maybe 15 to 20 minutes total to install, both bulbs, once I had the plug extensions. I noticed HR now sells the plug extensions. I did see other PWM modules on Amazon that had a better (shorter plug) on them that would likely work.
