Simple question. Mud flaps or not? I have a new leftover 2024 Tradesman with the Power Wagon package. It’s black so debating on mud flaps or not.

Yes to mudflaps. Search your style and order up. There are many to choose from. I have Weathertechs and they do ok.

I’ve only got rear flaps (AEV), they do a good job of keeping the rear bumper tubes and inside of bedside corners from getting coated in dirt and mud

Plus I like the reflectors , the sail a bit and are low so they catch drivers attention well.IMG_9516.jpeg

No love for the dealer installed grandpa rubber rams head trucker flaps? I'll have to see if I can get a photo.

We don't have or use mud flaps on our 2014 Ram 2500 4x4, 2016 Ram 2500 4x4 Power Wagon, and 2024 Ram 3500 4x4. Live off of rural dirt roads in the Rockies. Mud flaps may help to keep the mud off of the body, but in winter they'll trap the water from being thrown clear out which creates large and heavy (25 lb?) ice blocks right behind the tires filling up the wheel well with solid ice.

Mud flaps can be an issue when driving straight road in mild winter conditions for hours and then attempt to turn the front wheels at an intersection. Had that happen while driving our 1998 Chevrolet K1500 pickup with the OEM factory mud flaps at Wyoming I-80 to Hwy 789. Had to get out to bash the ice off with a crow bar.

Not my forum post of a Tacoma...

Thats rarely an issue with flexible mudflaps. I have Rokblokz and I’ve had ice build up before but any impact or pressure and it all falls off.

Yes get them. Dealer should charge about 100 bucks for all 4 especially on pay day.... (when you pick it up)...

I just installed Husky mud guards and the lock right into the stock spots.

I went with weather tech. They fit perfectly and install is maybe 15 minutes. They are a harder stiff plastic style.
