MTNORCA Build Thread

Good job.

I was wondering what the sound difference is between mine without the resonator and the MBRP.
Would be good to set 2 trucks side by side for a comparison to see.

Wonder if there is any improvement in MPG or performance with the 4" pipe as the factory one is 3 1/2", so a little bit bigger.

Given the mbrp muffler is about half the size I am sure this system is louder but not sure to what extent. I think it sounds great!

As for mpg’s… I think it helped somewhat. I was getting 14 on the freeway yesterday as opposed to the usual mid 13’s. Could be a fluke, I have not put many miles on it since.

Hopefully you are not getting any drone at freeway speeds.

Any chance you could let me know how you installed the AEV mud flaps? Just traded in my 2019 tradesman for a 2022 power wagon and love the look of the aev flaps!

Thanks!

I just drilled them on with the provided hardware. It was pretty straight forward, I did have to trim out some of the inner fender bracing but its a pretty easy process :)

Exhaust Install complete

Time: ~4 Hours
Difficulty: 6/10
Tools needed:

- Size 15 Deep Socket
- Hammer
- 12” Channel Lock Pliers (don’t get smaller than a 12” set)
- WD40
- Patience

Just did a cold start and initial reaction is this is what I should have done in the first place. Tone is deep and rumbly but not overly loud. Muffler delete sounded like a dam hellcat starting.

More testing to come tonight but REALLY happy with the quality of the kit and the idle sound thus far.

Everything went on exactly as the instructions say and at no point did I scratch my head wondering what I was doing.

Super late here, but any chance you kept the stock muffler, piping, and resonator?

I bought my '19 PW used with a MBRP cat back already installed, but it has dual pipes (after the muffler). The highway drone and overall loudness when going slow for camping/hunting is too much. I'm looking to go back to stock but its way more difficult to find the parts than I thought!
