Thinking about getting out of my hemi and back to a diesel. Any average on mpg when towing a 30’ TT with a deleted Cummins?

I definitely understand the other upside and the variables, just wondering what I could expect in average mpg?

Probably pretty close to a non-deleted one. They don’t use much for fuel for regen when towing and the stock programming is pretty good for economy. Maybe 5-10% bump, but that’s all I’d really expect to see.

My 05, 18, and 22 all get similar mileage towing. All had similar power and the 05 was not stock, so it did better on mileage. Stock for stock the 05 got the worst mileage of the 3, but still good.

The only time mileage really drops on the 6.7’s is slow speed towing with the torque converter unlocked.

So my hemi is not so bad then at 9-10.

Where do you do most your towing?

I tow around the inner mountain west. I would expect slightly better mileage in flatter country.

Well..

You certainly won't recoop the cost of the delete via the fuel savings, i'll tell ya that much.
For sure you will especially with these high diesel costs i have gained a hand calculated 25% increase ~4.5MPG from stock to deleted was seeing AVG 18-19 before now seeing AVG 23-24. Towing i only saw 1 mpg increase but still with the unloaded savings i will recoup my money in short order with the millage i put on.

Now the difference between a intact tuned truck and deleted is minimal ~1 MPG difference so if you are not having emissions issues i would stick with the intact tuning. As its less cost and you will recoup the money no issues.

What you getting? Maybe I am wrong
You're likely comparing apples to oranges, what someone else gets with their 30 footer could differ greatly from what you're getting unless you do the test with same (similar) trailer profile/weight/terrain/weather, etc...
One thing is certain is diesel will do better than gas, can't tell by how much but better.
