I bought the 30k ram hitch that drops in. I think it’s great, fits in the pucks perfectly and kinda has a handle on each side to lift it. Was a little pricey though. Think I paid around 1800$ for it up in Canada here.

Curt makes the hitches.

The 30K is an A-Series

The 20K is a Q-Series

I have a Curt A25 and I love it. If I didn't already have the A25 (was on a rail setup) when I got the 2020, I would buy a B&W. For the money, the best two hitches IMHO.

That said, not a fan of the curt Q-series. I'm not even sure why they continue to offer them, they don't work well with the Rotaflex cushioned pinboxes many larger RV's come with.

I have the Mopar M25 for my 2020 3500 as I got it in the deal with the truck. Rebranded and made by Curt.

The Mopar 30K works perfectly and actually unlocks with the Flex-Air pin box. If it was sold by Curt, it would be designated as an A30, but it is only sold through Mopar (82215769AB). I understand it's on Backorder with no promise date. Yikes.

Brutal_HO is right. I used to have the Curt Q-Series in my GMC and had to (embarrassingly) lift the trailer, center the truck, lower the trailer, lift the trailer, center the truck... etc, etc - just to get it unlocked with that air pin-box. Always drew a nice crowd... ha ha.

With the Mopar 30K (Curt), I just lift the trailer and push the lever forward and it unlocks smoothly and I pull away (like it's supposed to do).

I actually have an extra brand new one that came with the Max-Tow Pkg on my '20 - but I had already bought one for my '19. If anybody want's it for $900, PM me. It's sitting in my basement looking shiney… - never been used.

Curious, what are you towing for a 5th wheel? That hitch alone is around 200lbs I believe. Can't imagine you have much for PL capability relevant to pin weight when all said and done.

i have a sportsman 344 bh fifth wheel 40 ft 4 slides, ...gross is 12K which ill never hit i never pull with 3 holding tanks of waste waters and fresh
pin weight is 1300 lbs. truck squat is 2-3 inches. truck handles seamlessly! only thing i may do is air bags just to level off a bit.

I have a 2020 ram 2500 with the factory 20k class V hitch, does anybody know the actual weight ratings? IE 20k pull/ 2k tongue with weight distribution, and whatever non distributed. Thanks in advance

I pull a 21k fifth wheel. Payload of the truck is 5100 pounds. The 30K hitch was factory installed as part of the Max Tow package. And because the truck was ordered with hitch, that payload was calculated with the hitch in the truck.
