What upgrades or mods have you done to your HD that you regret, or just dont think were really worth it in retrospect?

I replaced the OEM LED foglights with Diode Dynamics elite series fog lights. They are good lights, a bit brighter than OEM but I think the OEM ones were better as cornering lights.

You can see near distance light throw of oem (left) vs DD (right) from the 360 cameras

Were your OEM fog lights the LED version?

N-FAB aluminum side steps…the main beam is extruded and is fine but the cast end caps corroded quickly and shed the black coating. The fact that the caps are held in with steel screws is icing on the overpriced cake.

N-Fab products were awesome until they sold out to Smittybilt. They would do custom powder coat if requested. Their nerf bars were the best around. Smittybilt bought them and immediately went to thinner wall lower grade materials. The last set of bars I bought rusted through the finish in six months.

I am on the fence about the soft-rate rear coils (-.5 ride height). I love the way they ride as a daily, but drives me a little crazy that even a 5K trailer now squats quite a bit.

Fox 2.0s are my biggest regret. Should have just gone king 2.5 from the start as the fox are already on their way out and starting to leak.

I recently had the same problem with a set of n-fab predator steps. They were 4 1/2 years old. They have a 5 year finish warranty. I contacted n-fab customer service, sent some pictures and a copy of the receipt as per their request. About 4 weeks later a brand new set was delivered to my house. Very good customer service!

Trailer TPMS. Doesn't work with same frequency aftermarket sensors (Ram is digitally coded)
After thinking it over some, the OEM system doesn't show tire temp, and 2nd trailer (boat) could have been an issue requiring me to keep the TireMinder in play anyway, decided it wasn't worth pursuing.

Hill descent switchbank. Couldn't get it to work with my truck.

Neither broke the bank, so the parts are still installed.

For me the one inch front leveling spacer. I can’t tell you really why I didn’t like it but for whatever reason it just always bugged me. Took it off and went with 1.5 inch lowering coils in the rear. Plus airlift bags to compensate.

My tailgate “reconfiguration” (hoping to fix that this weekend if the weather holds)
I backed into a bush that was hanging over into a parking space at a hospital. Not a tree, not a tree limb, just a simple little bush. My wife says the tailgate looks like a monkey with a ball peen hammer got after it.
