Mexico Plant still closed?

Hi all. I am new to this forum. I ordered a Ram 3500 back in mid February. I still have no news on when the truck is going to be built. I realize that the plant in Mexicon has been shut down and that there is a shortage of micro chips. Does anyone know if the plant is up and running again yet?

I ordered the end of January and just received my truck, little over 15 weeks. Didn’t know the plant shut down..reason?

My HD built in Mexico took a day shy of 16 weeks to hit dealer lot. Ordered end of Dec '20, delivered 4/22/21. Got my order in prior to chip shortage.

According to the news that I read, they have reduced shifts but not shut down. The chip shortage continues to plague everyone.

Ordered 3500 Feb. 17, received it May 4th. 11 weeks.

Ordered 3/31, picking up next week.. should be right at 7 weeks order to dealer arrival.

Ordered a 2500 Feb 15th. Picked up from the dealer 11 weeks later, May 5th. Are you sure your dealer actually placed an order?

The chip shortage did not start until late Feb/early Mar. At that time, manufacturers still had supplies of components on hand. Depending on a bunch of things - including dumb luck, different plants and different production lines - and even different options - can have a big effect. Plants for the 1500 have been idled in some cases. They have reduced the number of shifts.

This is affecting a lot more than just new trucks. I'm trying to build out another datacenter right now. You can't imagine what the lead times have become for tech hardware. Ford has been hit even harder than Ram.
