Hi everyone
hoping to find a solution to what I thought would be very easy (not so) I had a fault code come up on the dash of my 2017 ram 2500 saying ABS service and traction control light came on ! I had it diagnosed so I put ABS brand-new unit in that fixed the service ABS light ! but did not fix the traction control fault ….I’ve since tried to buy a new module for this vehicle to go on the new ABS unit. Can anyone help me get a module, either secondhand, brand-new or repurposed or aftermarket!….any help would be greatly appreciated as I have exhausted just about every Avenue. Thanks in advance

Welcome aboard. Do any of the us based online mopar sites ship your way? Also I’m assuming since you are having a hard time sourcing parts there are no dealerships down under?

Yes, there are dealerships here and it is quite easy to get parts shipped over and quite quickly. If you’re prepared to pay FedEx top dollar you can have Parts here within 2 to 3 days depending on the size and weight, but this particular part that I’m trying to get no one seems to have good grief, one of the most popular cars in the US and I can’t get an ABS module I can’t believe it. I think the 17-18 trucks are having a load of ABS failures and those parts are on perpetual backorder. There may even be a recall going on, I just seem to recall some scuttlebutt on the book of faces groups.

Yes @Brutal_HO is correct, theres an open recall on the ABS unit for Ram trucks 2018 as of right now and the part is very hard to come by. Looked at quite a few trucks with that issue and decided to stay away from it as it can cause a list of other drivability issues.
