MEGABEAST build

So starting with the cold air .. Maybe does or doesn't add anything to performance but adds to the cool factor. .like all jeeps have to have a winch and a spring loaded wavy hand in the windshield ..oh .. and a bag full of little plastic ducks to put on other Jeeps..
Took maybe all of about 20 min to install. Easy peazy.. Well built unit
S&B 75-5132 is this kit

S/B makes a quality product. While I might not be sold on any actual gain over stock, the S/B stuff is nice and should add a nice turbo sound.

So here was a 20 second add on.. Off ebay for 12 bux.. Others wanted like 20 to even 40 bux for these..
Billet Aluminum Green Fuel Cap Magnetic and Blue Def Cap

should add a nice turbo sound.
Took it for a spin and to be honest.. Very little turbo whistle.. Might have to drill out the pins and ditch the silencer ring.. Think I will wait on this one though. Tell ya what.. If your inside or outside the cab.. if someone wasn't savvy on Cummins...they would not think it was a diesel truck. Very Very quiet.. My 2004.5 3500 has big whistle and that you know it's a diesel sound

100%. My 99 is loud as hell.. my 2021... not at all haha.

Totally different experience.

So today was Baja day. Out with the old.. 62 miles .... and in with the new ..BAJA DESIGNS LIMITED Amber SQUADRON FOG LIGHT KIT part number 44-8035 . First off.. taking the stock lamps out rekindled some firm language because of 1 bolt on the upper inside of each pod. Just a pain in the rump roast they were. Now everyone knows that you get a part and just go directly to the install. No looking at any instructions right.. Well.... after several trys I decided to youtube the instructions . Told the wife that I was simply catching up on emails an such.. She didn't buy it and I was busted.. LOL. SO.. If you get these lights for your new Ram I would say.. Take a look at this video first.. Will save some cuss words..
I did however take the screws out of the front of the wheel wells ..turned the tires inward and fold the plastic well to get much needed room. After that the install went great.. except when I has a small bolt go flying that went to the outer fog light bucket.. Now just waiting for darkness so I can aim them ..

I've got the same kit sitting in my office waiting on install. It doesn't look like a fun install!

So todays install will be the AMP RESEARCH BED STEP PART # AMP-75324-01A . I chose that because I really didn't like the one that is offered with a new truck order..

Anyway.. Went pretty smooth. Couple tips for those who might buy one.. Locate the holes that the brace and the mount itself are and clean out the paint. Lessons learned twice today on that one.. along with when putting the 2 halfs together...place a bolt in the upper hole and one in the brace hole to line them up before tightening the 2 together. That will save you from taking it apart for the 3rd time. Also it sez use a 22mm on the big bolt that holds the brace to the frame where the hitch bracket is... ANNNNNNNT... it is a perfect American 15/16 all day long. So here are a few shots...with the lining up the bracket and the bolts that had to get past the paint.. All in all...Very well built and holds my 295 blubber without breaking

Dang hammer on wheel weights.. I just know one has scratched the finish on a wheel.. Going to do that part tomorrow then work on the front ending at the back. Along with the Carli we will install a GATORTRAX MX ELECTRIC TONNEAU COVER PART #: GRX-G90232 Key fob included. and also Putco- Lockers Pt # 88833 Black Powdercoated Side Bed Rails. Got both of those from RealTruck at a great price.. They didn't seem to be into the price gouging like other retailers at the time but they have gone up lately. SCW ... sportcompactwarehouse has the rails like 50 bux less now
