My 2500 has a low vibration/rumble that happens when in MDS mode mostly at low speeds/RPMs. You can hear it and feel slightly through the gas pedal. It doesn’t feel normal and I can’t shake the thought that it’s doing damage over time. It’s less noticeable at highway speeds.

This is a new truck with 1000 miles. Is this vibration normal? Something that can be addressed? Or is it a new engine break-in thing?

It’s fairly unpleasant when it happens but the truck drives great in gear limit mode. I hope I don’t have to live with this for the life of the truck.

It is normal but like you, I can’t believe it isn’t harmful over the long run. I turn off MDS almost every time I shift out of park by selecting 8th gear as my top gear. I don’t feel it at all on the highway and leave it on there.

I've got some hundreds of thousands of miles with MDS now across light and heavy duty Rams. No issues. Never had more than a slight vibration, and even then I really had to pay a lot of attention to feel it. I stopped even noticing it long ago.

I get it at slow speeds as well. If I give it a little more gas it goes away. To me it feels and sounds like I’m in too high of a gear and going too slow, like a little struggle before it figures it out.

mglade until someone figures out a way to tune it we have to live with it. It’s drives me insane, mine vibrates as well

I have a new 2020 PW and less than a month old and just over 800 miles and mine seems really smooth.

ANC and radio turned up I don't hear s h i t in the cab, are you people driving around with the windows open or something?
I feel the bumps in the road more than I feel the MDS.... or maybe I'm mistaking the MDS for a bump in the road?

I only notice the rumble when I’m going up a hill and it is still trying to get by in MDS. Sounds exactly like when you have it in too high a gear In a manual and you give it gas, you know that deep rumble but no power, then it kicks out of MDs and off to the races. It’s only noticeable when you are in MDS in the lower rpm range. I’m sure it’s normal, just can be a little annoying.
