Crawled under my ‘22 2500 HD to lubricate and could find no lube fittings anywhere. I checked all the u-joints and bearings and hubs. I find this quite surprising. Or are they just well hidden?

TIA

Lube points have become more and more scarce since the 90s. You cant lube any factory parts unless you drill/tap them for grease fittings

There may be a lube point (needle type) on the front drive shaft, but as far as I know that's the only one.

Wait till they wear out and then upgrade to a better aftermarket part with zerk fitting provision.
At least that’s my plan…..4500 miles on her right now, so I got a ways to go. Kinda like wearing out factory tires before I replace those ;)
Guess I’m cheap or frugal depending on how you look at it.

Greaseable u-joints are not the way. Why would you buy hollow u-joints on purpose?

Always go with non-greaseable u-joints.

If I understood the original post, it was not just about the u joints. I would agree with you except, if it is easy to grease, having a fitting is better in my opinion.
I am talking about all suspension and steering components and not u joints just so I am clear.

Oh, and muffler bearings

Ones that grease through the end of the cap are the only greaseable ones i use its no biggy to grease 4 points per cap.

Greaseable u joints with the hollow cross are easier to snap thats the issue

Can't recall the specific year pre 19, but only the front driveshaft U-joint had a hidden pinhole grease insertion.

19+ use a CV joint there, so no grease points left.
