Loud clunk on startup

I still get the start up clunk here and there. 5500 miles. It seems, like others have stated, the harder you press the brake pedal during start up, the more likely you are to get the clunk.

3500 miles on mine and it happened just the other day.. I dont think its starter, because it sounded like some just threw a 90mph fastball into the side of my truck. This was the 1st time for me. Hasn't happened since. Only put on about 200 miles since it happened.

Finally experienced the “clunk” yesterday for the first time, currently just under 3,200 miles.

Honestly it seems to happen when you push down hard on the brake.

I have this too. Happens every other month at most. 2019 with the 6.4 same as everyone else it seems. 25k miles and have noticed it since 15k or so.

Seems to happen more when the engine and outside temps are high so I wondered if it was detonation. So far, nothing on oil reports to suggest that, though. Have tried running premium to see if it stops it but it got expensive and it happens so infrequently I can’t seem to pin it down. Hopefully it’s not causing damage.
