Salesmen i dealt with had zero idea how these operated (geez),for that matter on disengaing the bar either, Any insight from users would be greatly appreciated. Is there a lag between engaging and operation .any gear you have to be in, rolling, stopped ,etc?

With the 4th Gen you had to be in 4wd low to use the lockers and sway bars.

I do believe with the 2019/20 you can use the rear locker in 4wd high, and possibly 2wd.

The front locker is still 4wd low only.

The sway bars do take a bit to disconnect/connect. Sometimes the truck has to be slightly moved back and forth.

The sway bars will take awhile, the lockers should be a bit quicker.

The switches/buttons are by the 4wd selector.

A common trick for the sway bars in Jeep Wrangler Rubicons (essentially the same system) is to grab the overhead handle and rock the vehicle side to side once or twice. That’s usually enough to get it to come loose, assuming you’re on flat ground. The bars won’t unlock or relocate if the front suspension is unevenly loaded.

I had some waits for both bars and lockers. Seemed about the same for both. FJ experience, just move back/ forth a bit and turn the steering wheel to get things lined up. Was happy with both though.

To me the sway bar was faster but that could be because i needed the lockers more than articulation.

Honestly didn't even try just rear locker in 4hi.
