Load Handler

Has anyone with a newer HD used a Load Handler or similar with their truck? I am wondering if it will work on a truck with a plastic top to the tailgate. I have a project that will require 4-6 yards of fill and dread the thought of shoveling it all by hand.

The demo video from Northern Tool shows it on a Ram with a plastic top. I'm embarrassed to say I haven't seen one of these before, and may just be getting one. I have a RamBox bed, so not sure if I want to risk stuff falling on the tops of those, I need to think about this though for the dirt I need to move, even if only 1 yard at a time...
