Line-X Bumpers.. Why So Expensive??

Ended up ordering a raptor liner kit. I also ordered a HVLP spray gun with a 2.5mm tip.. hoping to get it to lay down nicer (finer) than using a schutz gun. Haven't looked at how difficult it is to pull the bumper off, but i don't imagine it will be too bad.
I don’t have front sensors or factory fogs but the bumper comes off with 4 bolts. 4 additional bolts if you have tow hooks, which I had. The bumper is light enough for one person to pull it off the truck and set it down. Mine went straight to scrap metal.

Sub'd to see the after pictures. I think this is going to move up on the todo list.

Raptor liner through a cheap HVLP gun. Did not thin out the liner at all, sprayed through a 2 mm tip. Finish is very fine, much finer than the finish you typically see on a bedliner.

I did not remove the bumper or any of the inserts. They all have big enough gaps that it was easy to mask and get right in there with the raptor liner.

Also added fogs since this was a tradesman.

Extremely happy with the outcome. Essentially used 1 bottle of product, however I didn't think it would go as far as it did and added hardener to a full bottle... Ended up having to toss half of it because it would set up in the hour between first and second coat.

Total cost was around $250 Canadian. 1/3ish of quoted prices from anywhere I had asked.

Care to share a parts list of what gun, tip etc. you used? Did you use the small bottles or the large one?

The way you shot that, it looks exactly like the OEM finish on my 2017 Ram Rebel bumpers.

When we did Rapter Liner on our Jeep Parts I had my budy (he's a body man) hang and spray them and he got more of a smooth rolling pock-mark bed liner look vs your tighter... almost sandpaper looking finish that is also what ram puts on the Rebel and Power Wagon.

I also used paint rollers to do the steel bed floor of my 2018 Kawasaki Mule Pro 3 years back and that is doing amazing considering that I use it to haul and dump light residential excavation material.

Raptor Liner is the real deal once it cures. Most of the jeeps that rock crawl with us run Raptor on the rock rails, bumpers and sometimes more. Good stuff. Addictive.

Yeah, in reality i probably sacrificed a bit of durability to achieve the finer finish (not quite as thick). However, its just to protect against rock chips while on the road. I also have a 2019 Rebel and your right, very similar finished. Almost like a crinklecoat type powdercoat finish.
