Leveling kits/Lifts

I'm getting ready to level or lift my 19 Tradesman. Almost hate to do it because this truck rides so nice and soft for a HD truck, but I can't do the pizza cutter tires. Haven't really looked into levels and lifts since I leveled my 07 Ram, so it's been awhile. What's out there these days as far as quality leveling kits, or small lifts? If I went with a lift kit I would only want a max lift of 2-3 inches. If I level it I'm thinking I would want the front to come up 2" and the rear to come up 1", since my last truck at times almost looked like the front was slightly more elevated than the rear with just the front leveled.
I was thinking about this Rough Country kit that levels the front and adds an inch to the rear as well.....
I would also be interested in a lift kit that provides only 2-3" of lift if one exists. I know Mopar has a 2" lift for the 1500, but not sure about the 2500 models.
I've also seen alot mentioned about Spring and shock leveling instead of the traditional block leveling kits.
What do you guys suggest, and are there any kits that that don't mess up the geometry of the suspension as bad as others, and help keep the ride closer to the nice stock ride?

Spacers are going to worsen your ride. Look to Carli or Thuren for what you want to do. They are the best in the business for these trucks for that. Both of those will ride better than stock. You’ll be amazed.

Thuren level kit. 2 inch coil with king shocks, also their swaybar.

Thuren isn’t showing a kit for the 2019-2020, and their kits for the pre 2018’s says the rear springs will be equivalent to a 1500 suspension, which probably won’t work for me due to the weight I tow.

With the level kit you would only replace the front coils. They have 2 options. 2" and 3" for front lift. The 2" which i went with has the front end slightly lower. The 3" will probably have you close to perfect level.

I also plan to tow. Which is why i kept the oem rear coils and went with kings shocks on all 4 corners.

2” spacers on the front will not affect your ride for better or worse. If you go higher, or put spacers on front and back, you will start to see some issues arise with geometry and/or ride quality (leading to purchasing additional, expensive components). I have the Superlift leveling spacer on here front of mine, it looks great and rides exactly the same as before. I drive 90 miles a day, so I have a pretty good comparison of before and after. If you’re happy with the ride quality now (which I think is amazing), then you’ll be happy with just some spacers up front.

2" spacers absolutely will worsen the ride. It's simple geometry and if you don't replace the shocks you'll top out constantly on larger bumps.

Replacement coils are night and day from stock or simple spacers. You spent $60-85k on a truck. Don't cheap out and go with $200 spacers over $350 Thuren coils. That makes no sense.

You should do the Thuren front 2” coils and stock rears, do the king shocks all the way around. Be sure to get the king shocks for thuren front coils and the king shocks for oem rear coils. Correct me if I’m wrong but this shouldnt effect your factory tow specs much, so best of both worlds. Any one have any input?

I had the thurens with the Fox IFPA on my last truck. It rode really good. But my new King IFPs ride better.

I guess we’ve just had very different experiences. I work out in the sticks as well, so a lot of my commute is on back roads and I notice zero difference before spacers and after (lots of bumps). I tend to be rather picky on ride quality and stuff, however I guess it’s possible I just have more leniency than others. I do fully agree that nice shocks and springs can significantly improve your ride, but in my personal experience with this truck, the spacers changed nothing.

With that being said, OP if you do go full suspension level, definitely stick with reputable brands like others are recommending. I went Rough Country shocks/springs on my Jeep once and it was never the same. Was ready to upgrade that kit within a month.

May I ask what you paid once it was all said and done? Assuming you installed yourself?

All of their pricing is on their site. You can order right there. The 2014+ stuff fits perfectly. Even the trackbar with 10seconds with a grinder to remove a casting lip on the bracket that is totally reversible.

Their stuff is also available at CJCoffroad who specialized in HD Rams and Superdutys. Those guys are awesome and I order from them.

Do you have coil bow with your spacers? That’s a big problem with the angled bottom coil seats in 4th and 4.5 gen trucks. Carli and Thuren coils are designed to correct for that at the new ride height. They also give you additional travel rather than taking it away like spacers do.

Ok, I think I'm gonna go with the Thuren 2" coils with either the King 2.0 or Fox 2.0 shocks for the front. If I leave the back coils and shocks completely stock will there still be a slight rake to the front? If I added 1" coil spacers to the rear would that likely effect the ride quality much?

Also, with the 2"coils and new shocks on the front would I need the aftermarket track bar right away, and is front end re-alignment necessary?

In for a penny. I to, would like to know the final price. Front 2" coils with 1" rear spacer and 4 kings complete.

As stated all their prices are online. I spoke over the phone to ask questions directly. I placed my order online. I also have the 6.4 hemi where i believe its a 2" or 3" coil for front. I left the rear stock coil for when i tow or load up, but i did install king 2.0 in the rear. Im waiting to hit 20k miles then ill replace front and rear trackbar with rear swaybar endlinks also.

Also the 2" coil has it pretty close to level. Still has a slight rake if you stare long enough. Which i wanted so when i tow or load up it shouldnt sag i hope.

I went with Southern Truck Lifts - southerntrucklifts.com - The 2.5" leveling kit for the 2014-2019 Ram 2500. The spacers are offset a little which keeps the spring from bowing. The ride barely changed and it was simple to install.
It was only $89.95
