Lets see what you are towing!

Is that a goosebox on there? How do you like it?

Love it. It isolates the truck frame from the trailer frame so that you don't get that "chucking" or oscillation from the input from the fiver. You look in the mirror and see the fiver working up and down a bit, but you feel nothing in the truck.

That is a beauty! What is the weight on that camper? What are the specs on your 6.4?

The truck payload is 2904 on the sticker that is based on the 10K 3/4 ton gross, 4,794 by the axle ratings.

Camper gross is 13,995.
2 x 6K axles on camper.
Camper axles while on truck:
10,260

Truck empty:
Front axle 4060
Rear axle: 3260

Truck axle sticker:
Front axle gross: 5,500 (this is above loaded weight)
Rear axle gross: 6,390 (this is also above loaded weight)

With camper:
Front axle is 4160
Rear axle is: 6020
Trailer axles are: 10280

Truck is within axle and tire specs. On a 3/4 you can wipe your rear with the fake 10k gross.

Outstanding! How well does your 6.4 handle the weight? My payload is 3037 pounds and 17,037 tow capacity, so my camper at only 9,000 pounds is nothing for the 6.4, have wondered how heavy I can go and still feel like I'm not struggling to tow.

It doesn't struggle at all on normal interstate roads. On the up side of the mountains of course it's going into the slow lane while the hot rod diesels go by. But that's cool, they paid $10K to win that race. My trans temps stay steady and cool, water temps go up a few degrees and engine oil temps cruise to about 250 and quickly drop back once you crest.

I've never concerned myself with winning a race up a mountain side, I'm happy that it is cooling well and getting the job done in comfort. I know my old 7.3L PowerStroke F350 would never keep up with this thing!

It's a great truck and it works just fine. I pull mini excavators (10k-13k plus trailer) , very large track loaders (New Holland C232, right around 11k as set up), backhoes and dump trailers (this is likely my worst offense, you don't hand a clue how much weight your putting in). The camper is one of the lighter things I pull.

Attached is a picture of my 14K gross dump that was so heavy that I had to spend a half hour with 2 men hand throwing asphalt before it could dump. The truck pulled it fine. I'm positive that the load and trailer were in the 18K area.

Thank you, I love reading things like this!

Is that a RZR in the bed? I'm thinking about trying to get my SXS into the bed but I don't want to drive with the tailgate half open.
yes a 60 inch. i have to use a strap on the a arms to get the width down. i also use dg tailgate support bars to keep the tailgate half open

Half ton towable....

I bet there actually is someone out there with a half ton pulling something like this.

You laugh...but there is a guy on the 5thgen 1500 forum that is pulling a 5th wheel with his Limited. Even though I've seen it asked multiple times for a weight slip he ignores the request and hasn't provided it yet as far as I know.
From a legal perspective, it just depends on what you're carrying with you in the truck. Two people and it's possible, an entire family not so much. From the oh **** perspective, a 3/4 ton provides much better stability.

Hard to interpret this message.. forgive me. Are you saying your trailer's GVWR is listed as 13,995 lbs. but physically has two 6,000 lb axles? Math doesnt add up.
