Lets see what you are towing!

I went to an Amish sawmill to grab a load of slab wood to let dry for next year's camping use. $30 for a full load in my 7K gross14'x7' utility.

I knew I was loaded "better" than normal, so in the way back to camp I happen to be passing a CAT scale, so what the heck, let's pull a couple weights

She was heavy. Real heavy. If memory is correct (I'm in the toilet, slips are out in truck) around 900 tongue weight and around 7900 on trailer axles... Let's just round it to say that I was 2000-ish lbs over on the trailer.

I'll have to snap pics of the scale results in a few. I've got to first complete this dirty job

Forgot to get a pic of it hitched up. Picked this up in NE TN and towed it home to AL 6 hrs. Camper is a Cruiser RV 280QBS, GVWR 7900. Hitch weight dry is 740, I loaded the front up and it basically leveled the truck so I'm guessing my hitch weight was around 1000lbs.
The truck ('19 2500 6.4) towed like a dream, drove home with one hand on the wheel 65-70 mph. In mountain/hills I averaged a little over 9 mpg. Also had the truck loaded up. I'm absolutely pleased with my truck. I used a cheap walmart reese sway system just to be safe as I'm waiting for my Andersen sway kit to ship.

One thing I really liked is when a big hill was approaching I could gas it a little to make it shift down to either 7th or 6th gear and then it would pull it up maintaining 65-70 climbing at 2300-2400 rpms. This was nice as I don't like revving them up to 4-5k rpm.

2008 Four Winns SL262, forgive the darkness it's only hitched up twice a year between the marina and winter storage.
Boat only is a shade under 28' with the integral swim deck.
Package is around 7,000 lbs gross / 680 lbs tongue with a full tank of cheap highway gas.

2020 Bullet Premier 29BHPR
33 1/2' tip to tail
6,100 lbs dry weight on the sticker, I'm saying at least 6,800 lbs and 750 lbs tongue loaded in real life. Have not weighed yet.

This is my first diesel and it pulled both like they weren't back there. We camp at the marina often so we get to use both toys at the same time.

Towed our TT back to Shenandoah River State park for one last outing. Our last trip was cut short due to electrical issues with the new unit. We got that worked out and are temporarily back in business. Next project, warranty work ... replace all four brake assemblies, hubs, bearings and seals all the way around. It‘s been a tough year for everyone, we haven’t had many opportunities to camp this year either the TT was broken or I was. We’re both on the mend and it all came together for a quick trip as the leaves began turning colors in the Shenandoah Valley. One of my favorite places in the whole wide world.

What truck topper is that? Looks great, wish I had the mega cab.
It’s a Leer 100XQ. I had the Thule rails installed so I can add kayak or basket type racks later. I went from a Yukon Denali to this and wanted the topper for my hunting trips.
