Lets see what you are towing!

It certainly was. Picked up the TH at the Dunesport factory (well, office) location in Mesa, AZ. Dunesport is building them custom. Cannonballed from CT to AZ in 2.5 days and then took the "scenic route" home. 16 days going up Utah/Colorado/Wyoming and the back to CT.

Very cool. Good luck with it. Post some interior pics if you get a chance I’d like to see what you are working with. Whats the toy…in the hauler?

I love AZ. As a NYer I say I’d move there in a heartbeat but I would likely get sick of the heat fast. The ability to golf year round though? Bring it on!

I can post some more pics tomorrow yeah. No toy in the hauler. lol. I just like the space that a ToyHauler gives you plus the ramp in the back has the patio kit. Perfect for my dog.

Just got home today from the family Myrtle Beach trip. Went from Syracuse NY to Myrtle Beach, SC and back home. I just bought this truck 5 months ago, Got it with 9500 miles just clicked 13,000 after the trip. I upgraded from a 2020 Laramie 1500 Hemi. I did the same trip last year with the same camper..... The mountains weren't near as bad this year with the torque of the Cummins LOL. It was around 1900 Miles round trip, I averaged 10.5 MPG there and back.. My brother got 8.8 with his fully on a diet rig and 42' 5th Wheel. He likes to go, we spent wayyyyy more time above 75 mph than we did at 65. The truck drove like a dream, Other than me buying a diesel truck at the worst time in history for diesel prices I still loved it haha. Was right around $1000 in fuel there and back. We both have aux transfer tanks so we can refill going down the road. He has 31 gallon stock tank + 40 aux and I have 31 stock + 26 Aux. That made it nice, Was able to run from the Buc-ee's in Mount Crawford, VA to Syracuse NY without having to stop for fuel and still have 60 miles of fuel in reserve.

Thank you! You have a sweet ride yourself! We stayed at Ocean Lakes campground, We stayed there last year also and loved it. It snowed a little today and is supposed to snow tomorrow here in NY.... Makes me question why I came back here haha

What are you using for your 26 gal reserve tank?
welllll.....Its a little overkill LOL. We race circle track cars and had a brand new Methanol fuel cell that was never used. Its like a $1300 ATL cell lol.. By rule we can only run 24 gallon cell so this was kinda useless so I put it to work. I wasn't sure how the diesel would react to the foam inside so I just removed that. It worked awesome. I have everything wired with Deutsch connectors and AN fittings so I can remove the cell when I'm not towing and you wouldn't even know it was there.

Thanks

I’m looking for a tank that’s about 48” wide or 9” or less deep (front to back) and around 18” tall which should be plus 26 gallons.

I want it setup so it can be removed and installed quickly like you have.

How did you plumb it into your truck fuel system?

I bought this inline kit on ebay. I removed the factory fuel filler and cut a section out and installed this in its place. I put a 1/2 pipe to -10AN fitting in the valve and ran my hose up to the fuel pump. When I want to remove the tank I unhook the hose at the pump and then hard cap the end of the hose. I can have the tank in/out in about 5 minutes or less

Man, I hated that 31 gallon tank on my 2017. Loving the big one on the dually, but still looking at auxiliary.

I know what you mean. We were sitting on beach a week ago sipping cocktails. A week later, I’m dressed in winter clothes shoveling snow. At least it’s April and not February.
