Lets see what you are towing!

I grew tired of the massively rutted wasteland we call our 5 acres. Decided a box blade for the tractor and a dump trailer were in order to fix it. Drove 9 hours today to go pick this bad boy up - it tows great.

Now for some booze while I plan the fall/winter attack on the yard LOL

Hauled off 6 old cows to the sale barn. Not as cool as what some of y'all tow but the 6.7L chugged down the road great!View attachment 75775
Always makes me double take looking at that style of trailer. In Canada every livestock trailer is sheeted in otherwise they would be frozen beef before getting to auction . They must load really well though not going into a dark box.

This is our older trailer, probably early 80's? It loads cattle and horses really easy. I usually have a canvas cover that goes over the top and front but I had to order a replacement and it hasn't arrived.

We do have a 36' Sundowner like the one below (sorry, no pics of it on my computer) that we use to haul cattle/horses long distances or into the colder areas of the world.

Well for one thing its 6 cows for 3 years so thats 2 cows a year. 1 cow a year for me and 1 cow for my 3 kids, not that hard to consume. .
Off topic for this thread but we butcher 3-4 steers every fall to feed our extended family of about 12. My wife and I alone eat about 1/2 a steer every year. I also usually add 1 deer and a market hog to the freezer every year.

We order a whole cow per year and use a good part of it during a couple family parties. Its real easy to go through the meat when its sitting in your freezer and don't have to go shopping for it

When I was a kid we butchered a steer every September and March and they weighed about 1100 pounds.

We were out of most meat except for maybe stew meat before the next one each time.
