lets see some amp powersteps!

I'm on my 3rd truck running AMP steps. Still have the first truck I put them on like 5 years ago and still no issues.
I like the way they fit on my RAM, tuck up under real nice where you can barely see the edge of the step.

I originally wanted the XL, but since they don't work with the ATMM dampers, I ended up with the regulars. They were super easy to install and other than when icebergs formed from road splash have frozen them in place, they've done exactly what I hoped they would. I enjoy them much better than the fixed steps I had on the three previous rigs.
I don't have any pics of them deployed, but really appreciate how they tuck up and out of the way when stowed.

I installed a set a few months ago, and was pretty disappointed with the quality in relation to the price. The hardware supplied with the steps is absolute junk. It is the lowest grade metal you can find. You would think AMP would provide stainless hardware, but instead you get the lowest grade hardware with poor quality black oxide coating. I'm not even sure it's true black oxide as it's a bit heavy in spots. Additionally, the coating on the mounting brackets is inconsistent. Two of the four were exactly as expected. But the other two were not. They have obvious thin spots and dull areas that dis not match the good pair. They honestly look like blems. Fitment was also much poorer than I had hoped. AMP calls it a pinch weld issue due to inconsistent manufacturing by Ram, but the reality is they use the same brackets for too many vehicles, rather than manufacturing brackets that are unique to a specific build. I understand the cost savings associated with this practice, but it's frustrating if you're one of the people who run into interference issues because that wouldn't happen if they made a minor design change to the brackets. I was able to make the passenger side work with some work from a burr to open up mounting holes and a little shaving of the front trim cap, but the driver side needs significantly more work to allow the front trim cap to be installed. I'm currently running it without the cap.

Other than that, the steps do what they are supposed to, and virtually disappear when stowed. They make life easier to get in and out, which is the ultimate goal.

Only issues I had installing mine was to remove the factory rock steps on the 75th PW and the rivnuts that were in it. Then installing the new rivnuts. But it still wasn't that hard.

Just read the directions completely a few times before starting the install to make sure you fully understand the process. No trimming was needed on my install and no issues installing the end caps.

I really wish they would make these full size to pass over the bed area. I would but immediately but having to add another $700 steps is ridiculous.

How far below the top of the door sill does the Amp steps drop?
