Thanks for the approval, first time on here.
Just bought a 2026 Ram 3500 6.7 diesel mega cab. Had a shop install a Bright Source LED bar in on the aux switch. They tried to wire it to high beams but were unsuccessful. They mentioned there is no high beam trigger to tie into the light bar as all the head lights run through the Canbus system. Has anyone wired into the high beams on the 25 or 26 Rams. They mentioned I could try a XBB Dongle which plugs into the OBD2 port that communicates with the Canbus through an app on my phone. I would rather wire it to the high beams.

Personally I would leave them on the AUX switch. These 2025+ trucks are pretty sensitive to things being wired in to the wiring. Buddy of mine had wired a radar detector in the the overhead lights and it the truck threw all kinds of codes.

RAM has always been wonky with the CANBUS. It does strange things when tapping into wires.
However, I seem to recall a Hotshot customer of mine doing a relay to the highbeam lead for aux lights.

I was told to possibly try a bbq dongle system which you can control wireless through the iPhone. Anyone heard of this. It’s a $400 part option?????? Rather not tap into canbus system.
