3500 Laramie mega.... got the led headlamps, can't say I'm too impressed...

anyone else having the same experience?

I had regular headlights on all of my trucks except the last 2. Last time I ended up with led lights because they happened to come on the truck I found a deal on....when shopping for the new 2500 it was a must have deal breaker if it did not have them. They are that much better.

My Laramie LED headlights are pretty solid. My ‘19 1500 limited had the adaptive LED lights and I think those were a touch better. The Laramie ones are more reflector style and as such are not quite as focused (and don’t turn with the steering,) but still pretty good. The lights on my dad’s 4th gen 2500 limited are so bad you wonder if they’re even on sometimes. Stock halogens on my Chevy 2500 were abysmal as well. Wonder if it would be possible to upgrade the Laramie LEDs to the adaptive Limited LEDs. Anybody know?

ok well good to know, thanks for the input all :D

I refreshed my 07 z06 corvette xeons and
ballasts about a year ago and they seem significantly brighter and project farther....

maybe I need to take a look at how the led lamps are aimed ...

looks like they're shining straight down at the road in front of the truck... the high beams look more like the xeon low beams

While similar in some respects, Xenon lights and LEDs are different...
I would go with LEDs every time.

The adaptive LED's on my Limited blow away the Xenon lights on my (older) Audi.

That said, I'm disappointed they don't auto-level like my 16 A6 does.

My only complaint will be when (not if) they need fixing.

Headlights in our 2500 limited much better than 2016 F250 no complaints from me adaptive LED works great

Agreed on both counts. Not seeing them auto adjust when the truck is loaded was very disappointing. I’d say that’s way more important in the truck than it was in the VAG cars.

Seeing as my truck spends half its time towing (8500 out of 20000 miles so far) my headlights are either too high or too low for half the time!

Forgot to say mine does have air suspension

If you get the Ram air suspension they auto level lol

Mine are already too high before Alt Trailer height, which I need to use to keep my double tow level.

I should probably have the dealer align them, the driver side is higher than the passenger side, and I know that's not correct even with modern cutoff beam shaping.
