Leaking fluid onto inside wheel

Are there not other dealers around you an go to?
There is one other dealer about 30 minutes away, part of the same franchise and not any different as to customer service.
I did meet a guy who twice has taken his 2020 Ram to a dealer 3-1/2 hours away when he needed warranty or recall work.

Hi everyone,

I have an appointment Wednesday to get this looked at but was curious if anyone else may have experienced this. I came out this morning to a small puddle of fluid/oil sitting on top of my inside rear passenger wheel. I looked all over but can’t seem to find where it came from. I had a little bit on the outer part of the wheel also which is what caught my eye.

Weird thing is I have not driven the truck since Saturday, and I washed it yesterday morning and I did not notice any fluid then on the outside.

From research it seems like it may be a leaking axle seal but that’s is somewhat of a guess as I see no fluid from any brake

Hi there. Had a similar issue. I would check your power steering fluid level. I had a similar leak you describe and after not being able to find the source of the leak outside I went into the cab. I found the leak at the end of the break pedal where it goes thru the firewall and it was the hydroboost pump seal. While pump was replaced.

Thank you for the reply. I’ll check that out today. When I took it to the dealer, they looked all over around the brake and wheel area and could not find anything.

I’ve driven it numerous times since then and the leak hasn’t returned thankfully, but I’ll check out the power steering level and inside the cab.
