Purchased new 22' 2500 CTD Laramie trim.
5,900 miles
Thought I would see if other Ram owners are having issues with the leather seats?
Hard to see in pics but spots all over that are sticky and the material is Mushy to touch. Weird at the least never seen this before. Rear seats are perfectly fine.

I've not seen that before. Nothing has spilled or been applied to the seats, like leather cleaner?

The seats in the Laramie are only leather trimmed. The main seating area, where your issues seem to be, are not leather. I had an 18 2500 Laramie, never had any issues with the seat material. I'd think your warranty would apply here.

I've used Griots 3-1 cleaner conditioner on all my rides, no issues until now, It just showed up out of nowhere.
This is the 4th Ram I've owned with Laramie trim and never seen this.

Again the rear seats are perfect. The passenger seat hardly ever gets sat in. I'm really unsure how this happened.

Almost looks like something is seeping up from the foam. I have not seen this on my 22 Laramie. I will add not to set anything such as 2 6 packs of soda bottles on the seats on a hot day for an extended amount of time, I now have the shape of said bottles embedded in the back seat leather.

At this point it's around 2k to replace the oem covers. Would be cheaper to purchase Katzkin.

Close, but not correct.

The seating area where it's perforated, and where OP is having his issues, is actually real leather.

The backs of the seats are vinyl and the edges of the seats are microfiber and vinyl.

Again seating area is real leather.

That was always my understanding.

Laramie:
Seating surface - cowhide
Bolsters, etc. = bonded leather and that suede strip aka Alcantara on the bolster.

Limited:
Seating surface, bolsters, etc. all cowhide (saying top grain might rattle some purist feathers) - "Premium Leather."
Some cloth on the wear points on the outside seat bottoms.

You can always tell real leather by pinching it between your fingers - it has micro wrinkles like real skin. Though the automotive leathers are sometimes hard to tell due to the over processing and coating they use.
