Had my windshield replaced with an OEM windshield a month ago. Multiple stone chips. The lane keeping feature (lane departure) worked fine until last week. No warning light. The EVIC icon flashes white from time to time but no steering wheel torque and no error showing up. Anyone else experience this issue? They did calibrate it after the windshield work (at least they said they did) and have a one year warranty on the calibration. Will be going back to Speedy Glass and hopefully get it fixed. Not that I am in love with the feature but it should be working after the repair.

There seems to be a lot of opinions on the calibrations and if its needed. Maybe the DASM is bad? @Brutal_HO has gone thru this on other Ram forums :D

@Jimmy07 said no calibration is needed or recommended for glass replacement, that's my goto stance.

I've also had my windshield replaced with OEM by the dealer (their glass shop) and told them in no uncertain terms that they were not allowed to attempt any calibration on my DASM.

That doesn't solve the OP's problem, just clarifying my statement.

If the glass shop somehow damaged the DASM and they have to replace, it will need calibration.

Went back yesterday. The glass place couldn’t fix it. So sending me to a dealer who doesn’t have an opening til mid August. After I got home, I called them and asked if they had checked for any misalignment where the camera is mounted. They told me they had not. Seems to me that would’ve been one of the first things to check. However, I don’t know much about the system. They told me to stop by and they would remove the cover to check. I did tell them that the last time the system worked was on a very rough road. Maybe something got jarred loose.

If the DASM was bad, would that not generate a code?

I would think so.. a guy i work with bought a new 2025 and his dash cam connects to the same plug as the mirror with an adapter - he took it in for some updates and the dealer told him there was a bunch of stored codes due to that but it never thew a CEL or any dash warnings..

Maybe it just has some stored codes?

I had mine on my 2020 3500 changed out and they did calibration at least told me they did and everything worked just fine.

Did they charge you for the calibration? I hear a lot of companies charge for it when its not needed.

Following..
I just had my windshield replaced and now my backup alert no longer works. Glass shop at installation told me recaliberation wasn't needed. Back up stuff worked before the new windshield.
I have a hitch on the truck and had to turn off - bypass the alarm, with the switch, prior.
Does unplugging the mirror on the windshield have any bearing?
TIA.
I can't see the mirror having anything to do with the backup sensors but I am just guessing.

Just got back from the dealership. They recalibrated it, AGAIN. Would have saved me a trip if they had road tested it. Still does NOT work. Didn't change a thing. No wheel torque, telltale never turns green, turns orange only AFTER I cross the line. No cluster warnings.

The tech didn't road test? What did they write on the ticket?
