Can someone help me out I have heard that the new Rams come with just one key fob from the factory ?? Or is it just a rumor..Thx

Asked my dealer about this, 2 fobs.

Methinks there are some shady dealers either losing or keeping fobs...

Two FOBS here as well, but it was hell getting my second one..

What's the story there?
They lost the FOB at the dealership. Had to order a new one. Drove 60 miles to pick it up. Asked them to program it and they said it was too late in the day to do it (4pm closing at 6pm). Didn't tell me to make an appointment. Drive 60 miles back to them on Monday and they ask if I have an appointment, but they squeeze me in. Now they can't connect online to get it done. Go home and type a terse email to my sales guy. Drive back in again and they get it done. 360 miles on my truck to get a FOB..

In 2009 I bought a new ford ranger, dealer said they lost the 2nd fob and would send it to me, let’s just say, I had to get a bit belligerent to get it. Same thing happened when I went to pick up a 2500 I thought I had bought locally. I think a lot of it is they just don’t do the second one until sold. They tried to up sell remote start, so maybe that’s the deal?

Two FOB’s here! Even though after changing batteries on both....(truck is only3 mo.old mind you) they still don’t work very well when it comes to the remote start.........:-/ sometimes you have to press 3-4 times and have to be within say 50-75 feet. What’s the use really?

I don’t know about remote start, but the fobs on my 17 still have the best range of any of my vehicles, close as I can figure, about a thousand feet or so. Incredible.

Having that issue as well. :(

My remote start also has a range issue. Actually it has a history of intermittently not recognizing the FOB. You have to touch the FOB to the button. Twice it has waited until I pulled out on the road then saying the FOB has left the vehicle. That’s a good one as I have to find a place to pull over and shut the truck off.
I currently can’t get the local dealer to schedule an oil change much less anything else right now.
