My 2020 Ram 2500 has the Rambox bed. I have had to replace the plastic clips that connect the solenoid to the lock two times in three years.

My question is there anyway to set the number of presses of the fob for the lock/unlock (1 = drivers door & 2 is all other locks) of the Rambox is different than opening the doors?

My thought is three fob clicks to open the Rambox doors.

My thought is that would increase the life expectancy of those plastic clips.

Per the manual: In the settings on the main screen, Remote Door Unlock, Door Lock/1stPress Of Key Fob Unlocks This setting will change how many pushes of the Unlock button on the key fob are needed to unlock all the doors. The “Driver Door”setting will only unlock the driver door on the first push on the Unlock button. The “All Doors” setting will unlock all doors with only one push of the Unlock button.

I would assume the ramboxes would open on the second press with all the other doors.

Yes that is how mine works.

I was thinking it would be easier on the plastic clips if I could switch the unlocking of the Rambox to require three pushes of the key fob.

Sorry, I thought your post inferred that you may not have been aware, apologies. I bought spare clips and carry them with me, but have not had any issues on my 24, 21, or 18 year models. Sounds like something is not aligned properly for your box.

That’s interesting idea on alignment.

I’ll have to look into that. Thanks
