The car wash I go to occasionally flips my passenger side mirror out but it does not hurt anything. To each his own, but the automatic wash has kept my 2019 Tradesman looking like new and always clean for the $20.00 a month membership.
My passenger mirror goes for a ride every time at one of the washes I go through...It makes me cringe, but I still go back Lol
I assume you guys that only hand wash and use the 9 bucket wash method only use your trucks to tow a giant camper and never get out in the woods! My truck is well, yep it is a truck and I use it accordingly! Paint swirls...give me a break!
Of course mine also did not cost 100K
I only paid $50K for mine and only hand wash it, when we built our new house I insisted on a heated garage and hot water in the garage....if I would have been really smart I would have put in a heated drive way as that gets pretty slick washing with it is 10F out lol. I am 63yoa and have been driving since the early 70's and have never gone thru a car wash with brushes since about 1975, I know they have improved but still the thought of someone else's dirty bathwater turns me off.. I will take the wife's vehicles thro a brushless but I have never taken any of my vehicles through automatic car washes. If I get a scratch in Moab or on the Rubicon trail or offroading closer to home I am ok with that.

I'm still amazed seeing all of these locations where you guys can actually drive into a car wash.
I've looked for years for a place with enough clearance to drive through and have yet to find any options other than the spray it yourself high pressure wand places.
I need to give her a wash, but suspect the good old garden hose and bucket of soapy water ain’t gonna cut the mustard lol.
My local automatic car wash that uses high pressure for the undercarriage and rollers for the body
is heated and working today. 17 F, -9C. They have an 8 foot clearance….
