Hey guys, looking to swap out my 35s for a set of 37s here before putting my summer wheels back on. Wondering how much more of a mileage hit I’m going to take. It doesn’t really matter since I only drive about 4000 miles a year tops. Just something I want to consider since the majority of my trips are only a few miles locally, and I average 11.5-12.5 on my current setup.

I know everything is gonna fit with my Thuren coils and +18 wheels, and the 8 speed 4.10 combo should be enough since I don’t really tow heavy. Just want to make sure it’s not going to be another 2 mpg hit at this point.

mine go on next week I hear if you keep it under 55MPH you don't notice lol
I’m lucky if I’m over 40 on the backroads here. Literally just drive back and forth over the mountain to my parents or town. The joys of a company vehicle haha

Id be surprised if you saw a difference if you're already getting that kind of mpgs. I have 37's with a rtt and normally carry a couple hundred pounds of gear in the back too, and Im averaging 12-12.5 at this moment. Mostly around town. Im getting 14.5 - 15 on the interstate, 70 mph or less.

I don’t think you’ll take a huge hit going from 35s to 37s. And honestly with low miles/year, the cost difference would be pretty negligible. Only downsides would be reduced range (only if it *was* a significant drop in mpg.

Big thing keeping me from 37s is you can’t fit a full size spare under the bed

I know its not a full size spare, but I dont even go to the grocery store without my compressor and tire plugs and sidewall repair kits.....
