That shoudnt be hard to add after you have the truck, some people upgrade to the 12" from the 8", if you want NE badges, i will be debadging my truck so, there is opportunities.I can’t answer but from experience do it if you can. I bought my tradesman off the lot and thought it was everything I wanted. I was new to Ram and didn’t know about all the different packages, levels etc. I left that morning to replace my F250 with a F250. Decided I’d drive all the competition and settled on the Ram that day. My Tradesman fit 97 off 100 things for me but if I was buying again I would have stepped up to the BigHorn. In all I’ve added flares, 8 inch deck, changed badges and headlights to fix some of the things I liked better on others.
security alarm and other software features can be enabled with AlfaODB.Hey jimkill
Nice a dealer that can accommodate . Thats great ,its never to late & get what u want! Were paying a premium price. Its hard to get it right the 1st time. Mine was to add a bolt on running board, security alarm, 5th wheel, and etc. I had to remind myself my want, wish, & need list. Besides I have a new list of American force rims, nitto's , lift kit and etc.
this post talks about the software - https://hdrams.com/forum/index.php?threads/alfaobd.640Newer would of known. Mahalo
I ordered a 2500 hemi thru Mark Dodge and wanted to add the Aux switches afterward when the truck was in D status. I was told it would be 50/50 if the factory would allow the add-on and if they did I'd lose any price guarantee. I then asked if I cancel the order and re-order the exact same build but add the Aux switches and would MD honor the same pricing discount as before other than adding the $145 for the switches. Yep, they said -- and that's what I did. I lost 1 month in the line but I didn't care as the Aux switches were a nobrainer that I should have initially ordered. MD was stellar thru the entire process.
This was back in Dec 2021. A couple of emails back-and-forth between me and Sandi and it was a done deal. So like I first mentioned, I lost a month in the factory line, but MD cancelled the original order and placed a new order that included the AUX switches and honored the original price plus the $145 for the AUX switches. Easy peasy. It looks like I'm going to be begging MD to change my order. It's not totally my fault. Was this recent? Was it much of a hassle? Thx
some of these options, depending on how long you already had your order submitted are simple to do afterwards. sometimes something that was available when you ordered, may not be bythe time you change your order. be aware. It looks like I'm going to be begging MD to change my order. You're right in many cases. But after reading some great threads here about how difficult it was for some to install the AUX switches afterward convinced me to go the route I did - and luckily all other options I had ordered were still available.some of these options, depending on how long you already had your order submitted are simple to do afterwards. sometimes something that was available when you ordered, may not be bythe time you change your order. be aware.
