Issue with memory seat presets

I've got a 2023 2500 Laramie with a few thousand miles.

On a recent trip I had several problems with the memory seats and the presets that store them These are the preset set with the switches in the door handle.

I first noticed mirrors were off, then seats were. But I've had it briefly lose where it was, and usually just cycling the seats, mirror, etc worked.

But then I kept getting the "Memory System Unavailable While in Motion" alert in the dash, over and over.

If I try to use the procedure to reset a memory (press S with vehicle on but not running), then 1 or 2 with 5 seconds) it immediately says preset 1 set. No way to select preset 2. No way to recall preset 2 either.

I unhooked the battery in hopes of a reset; no change.

Any ideas? Very annoying.

Sounds to me like you've either got a stuck memory 1 button, or a short in the wires going to the buttons. Either way, the truck thinks you're pressing the "1" button when you're not doing anything. You're definitely under warranty so I'd take it to the dealer.

Yes, that's what I was thinking. I am quick to blame tech, but having had to replace window switches more than once on a driver's door in the past, I should be looking first at the low tech. Thanks.
