Is it the arrow?

Hopping in sand will happen with any truck.
It did it in my 01 F250.
Didnt do it too bad in my K5.
Even had it happen in a big all wheel drive multi axle 20 ton military truck.
It is more in the snow and ice that I am concerned about with where I live. I am very new to the 2500s and I love the truck but I do find it mind boggling that my 2010 1500 which was a lighter truck would just slide while my 2019 2500 hops. I just did the AlfaOBD tire sensors mod to drop them down to 55PSI, so I hope that helps ... Not sure if I should air down more than that, I am on the 18s but I dont want to pop a bead

I run 50F/45R unloaded (315/70R17 E load tires) and air down to 25-30psi offroad. Plenty of other people air down to 15-20psi in their power wagons without issue.

I get axle hop when accelerating on ice.

I dont mean to sound like I am complaining about the hop. Really every other feature makes up for it and these trucks really are beasts. I appreciate the advice and am going to start actually messing with the tire pressures (which i havent actually done before)

I swapped tires to 35x12.50 17 on my PW. I run 40 Front/35 rear. Rides a lot smoother. According to the tire charts, I can run them at 30 PSI. But for now, the tread pattern looks good. At 50 PSI, the outer inch of tread was not even touching the ground when empty.

Check your tire manufactures PSI chart for your tires. It will show the weight carrying capacity at each PSI in 5 PSI increments.
You will find that you can go a lot lower with a empty truck.

I reset my TPMS to 30 PSI all around. When I go off in the sand, or serious off road, I'll lower them to around 20 PSI all around.
