Is Auto Leveling good for a large truck camper on a 3500 DRW?

I'm researching trucks for use with my large slide in truck camper. One of the options I like on Ram trucks is the auto leveling system if it works good with a slide in camper and the associated high center of gravity during cornering.

Does it work as good as individual filled manual air bags or a dual path system for controlling sway when cornering?

I believe you've already had subject question answered, but what does "good" mean to you?

Will help to align responses with what you're after.

From the responses I got earlier I understand that auto leveling will capable of leveling the truck with the camper on it as long as I don't exceed rear GAVR. What I don't understand is the details on how it works from side to side. Air bag helper springs that are interconnected will allow more sway when going into corners as air compresses in the outside bag and transfers to the inside bag. Air bags that are isolated from each other with manual fill on each side, dual paths, dual compressors, etc. will act as independant springs. I'm trying to understand how the Ram auto leveling works and if it keeps each side independant when driving. And does it level each side independently when it intially inflates if there is a side to side imbalance.

The bags are independent and they level the truck independently. There are level sensors on each side.

I have a 16 DRW Limited with factory suspension. My OM says i need to place the suspension system in "ALT RIDE HEIGHT" with a large load (which is almost always the case with me). ALT RIDE HEIGHT basically means you're using more of your leaf suspension versus the air bags. When ALT RIDE HEIGHT is engaged, I do get a bit of lift, but not much. When I am not towing, or hauling (which is a rare occasion), I would disengage the ALT RIDE HEIGHT. The factory air suspension in newer trucks may have changed since the 16 Limited model, if it has, the system may work differently than mine. My opinion if you're looking to haul a large truck camper, I would not get the factory air suspension system. I would install an after-market system if you needed it. Good luck.

On the 19+ trucks, ALT Ride Height lowers the rear vs. the stock setting.
