Hey guys! I've had a developing rattle in my dash. Its been bad but it's getting worse. It sounds like it's directly behind the 12" screen. Every little vibration will cause it to rattle and its loud. It doesn't sound metallic at all, possibly plastic. The only thing I can do to change it is to pull back on the dash, where the "sunglasses holder" is, where it totally goes away. There is no change if I push on it or pull side to side, only if I pull back on it.

Any solutions or something I should look for when I take the dash apart?

Truck is a 2019 Power Wagon, 43k miles, so im out of warranty.

I've had a rattle in my around about the same spot. I've torn the dash apart and still can't pin point it. It also has progressively gotten worse overtime and now while towing pretty much just always does it. I've taken the dash apart at least 3 times and still no luck. I'm think I might just let the dealer deal with it. It pretty much has done it since day 1 but was very faint then and only under certain conditions. So something has loosened more or completely. If you find anything out let me know...lol

my 2021 2500 just started having the same rattle behind the screen. It’s intermittent but really annoying sometimes. It’s definitely a cable or something that laying against a metal frame or something. I may take it into the dealership.

Did y'all find it? Mine seems to be behind the 4x4 selector. Dealership was clueless

I had one develop aswell... I initially removed the windshield defog trim and added various sound deadening tape where ever it seemed like plastic could be rubbing(clip housings and such)
This unfortunately was not the culpret.
Ultimately it was the center speaker cover. Popped it off and did the same process and haven't heard it since. I also did the same to the left and right dash speaker covers just for good measure.

This sounds promising. Can you share how to get those speaker covers off?

I don’t want to just go grabbing and yanking and break a clip and make it worse.

Certainly, for the center speaker... It pops straight up. It's held down by maybe 6 friction clips. I have a leather dash so I wanted to be very protective of the leather while prying.
I used two spudgers and a trim tool on the Aft side of the grill radii. The clips can come off so be cautious

Right?! Had the HVAC TSB done as the AC was not blowing correctly or at all. Solved the problem but now have an intermittent squeak. Although it seems to have diminished to the point where i rarely hear it anymore, go figure.

I think mine's developed a come and go rattle/squeak since the A/C fix.

Perhaps the stray nut I found in the interior is a telltale sign. I hate to let the monkeys at it again, they already messed up (cut) the (since replaced) 4x4 shift bezel leather surround. I also noticed some light scratches on the EVIC plastic cover after I got it home.

Mine was rattling so bad this morning. I ripped off a piece of cardboard and shoved it under the speaker cover. I think that’s my culprit since it’s quiet now. Thank you. Now to actually fix it later.

Once you pull the cover you'll see its clips, on the dash side, the holes they clip into, I used Tessa tape over each one then cut a slit in each one so the grill clips can push through but the tape will act as an insulator. Obviously ensure that the speaker is tight and it's surround is insulated. Then finally I popped the light sensor out of the grill and wrapped it once with Tessa where it's barrel interacts with the grill since it did have a bit of slop. Hope this helps.

Does anybody know how to get the bezel around the gauges off?

Chasing rattles still. Id hate to break a plastic clip so looking for guidance.
