Interaction between TPMS and selectable fill alert system

Correct me if I'm wrong but with my 2023 2500 I understand the follow:

The regular TPMS system requires the tires to be within 20% of the placard values (60 and 65 on my truck). If below, like when I air down, I get the alert that stays there until I fill above it. Helpfully the truck does the flashers and a honk when I reach that, assuming it's in Park and on. I usually don't even have to drive much, if at all.

The fill assist is off by default, and in the menu system. I haven't quite figured it out, but I thought it should beep at me if I lowered the pressure to set values. And it has two presets, but I can't figure out how to select one or the other.

As I understand it, it should beep as I air down and reach the setting.

Also, as I understand it if I turn off the ignition and turn it on again I'm back to regular, non STFA system. Perhaps I accidentally did that, not sure.

So my question is how do the presets work? how do I select one or the other?

There’s no relationship between the two systems other than that they use the same sensors.

Changing the pressure in the tire fill app will not affect the TPMS warnings.

Indeed.

But my question is about the presets, which are part of the STFA app. Sorry if I was unclear.

(I do wish that if I deliberate set the pressures low the TPMS system wouldn't have a cow though. Ram recognizes we air down, so if the warning at least went off below say 25MPH it would be nice.)

The presets just need to be tapped. It’s not very clear they are selected, but they are.

STFA works much better with TPIS.

Ah, I'll try that. I was in the sun when I did it, and unfortunately some of the Uconnect interface is rather lame, at least in my stupid hands. Thanks!

Ahh, I get what you’re saying now. AH64ID has the right answer.
