I have scoured the web for an intake manifold spacer that is specific to the 2019+ 6.4 hemi... What are peeps using and any issues... I am also researching headers and I need to know what bolts to use to replace the OEM BOLTS for longevity... I kind of set my mind on a flow master FX cat back exhaust .... I know it's all for little gains and I know what I plan to use the truck for... I may do a tune, or aFe scorcher or let the computer adjust to the mods over time.... I will not be installing a CAI... I did install the K&N air filter... I am not looking for a throttle body spacer.... Thank you for your 2¢ in advance.....

IMS or intake manifold spacer sits between the plenum and the intake manifold... Lots of vehicles have found this to be the biggest gains for the buck....the goal is to maintain and improve the low end torque between 1800-3000 rpm.... This is where Most of us drive.... Then we are hauling or passing or going up steep forest roads or snow wheeling ... Or putting big tires on without re gearing.... The next logical step is to replace headers... Even here you have to be careful on the diameter and length of the tubes... The goal is to improve the lower rpm torque.... I rarely drive above 2500 rpm except in the above mentioned scenarios.... I agree the resonator delete is an inexpensive gain...tons of air flow science here and I was wondering if people in the forum have real life experience for mods on these Rams and quality products they have used....aFe or Hellcat mods ???

Double check, but im pretty sure we have a variable intake manifold that is electronically controlled to vary tube length on demand.
Headers I can understand. Packaging of them is the hard part.and truck already has a CAI from the factory.

Found it.

Yes, the 2021 Ram 2500 with the 6.4L Hemi gas engine utilizes an "active" intake manifold system, also described as an
active dual-runner-length intake manifold. This design effectively functions as a variable plenum system.
This technology allows the engine to vary the length of the intake runners electronically, optimizing airflow for different RPM ranges.
  • At lower RPMs, longer runners increase air velocity, improving low-end torque and better fuel-air mixture.
  • At higher RPMs, shorter runners open, allowing for increased airflow and maximizing horsepower and performance at the higher end of the rev range.
In essence, this active intake manifold system provides the benefits of both long and short runners, allowing the engine to produce both excellent low-end torque and strong top-end power.

I will research this... I have never heard of variable intake manifold.... I have heard of VVT or variable valve timing ... This can help if you decide to run higher octane fuels than 87.... And CAI on my Xterra is noisy.... I like the baffles in the box to keep the noise down from under the hood .. to sound contradictory I like the muffler low classic tone this I want the cat back mod

Know about VVT too well. Buddy had a engine built with new cam, pro charger heads etc. They forgot to pin the VVT. Out on the road, having a little fun, started singing hard. I went thru a few things and figured out the exhaust valve on a cylinder was bad. When he took it in for tear down, sure enough, because of the VVT not being kind so it woukdnt work, it put the exhaust valve into the piston.

The stock CAI is quiet, no drone. Removing the resonator gives the truck and good sound, not obnoxious like some cat backs. And no drone.

Wowza!!!! I wonder how well this tech works.... According to your AI pal it started on the 2021.... I have the 2020...

I beleive it started back in the early 20teens. Do a Google search on it. Lots of info on the BGE hemi.

Awesome ... I did just check Google AI and the 2020 has this... So I am deep diving on its function... What to you know about the resonator delete...

I had a hard time find the forum for build threads... I received an email from the makers of Hellcat IMS... They want me to call.. I did...had to leave a message... Haven't heard back

I did the same as Crusty and had the resonator removed and the tail pipe move up closer to the body which cost me $70. I have a stainless tip. I am very happy with the sound and no drone.

I went to the local exhaust... He quoted me about $80 ... He recommended deleting the muffler and keeping the resonator..huh... He also only has aluminized steel pipe which won't wear over time as well as the OEM or 403SS

Naw, keep the muffler.

Unless you want any obnoxious loud sound.
And a ugly resonator in the wheelwell.
