I have a 2021 Ram 2500 with the Cummins engine. I have gotten the run around for a couple months over recalls. The service manager told me late 2024 for the intake heater relay and there is no fix for the transmission dipstick tube leak. Anyone having the similar issues?

Both are well discussed topics on here but it sounds like your dealer is poorly informed. Check out these threads.

I appreciate your response. I am new to using the forums so I am just now finding this message. I would appreciate any help I can get. I have been to two different dealers with similar results. One told me the heater relay couldn't be fixed till December 2024 the other said December 2023. I was told there is no fix for the transmission dipstick tube leak. Thanks.

There is a fix for the dipstick issue heck there is a revision to the fix too its been out for quite some time now. The latest revision to the recall includes a new vent hose and a new dipstick tube and locking full length dipstick.

They clearly are being lazy and not even looking up the parts for the dipstick recall.

Thanks for responding. I have been to two different dealerships, reached out twice to Ram and once the the NHTSA. Ram tells me try another dealership. No response from NHTSA. On top of the three open recalls now I have a vibration in the front end. It seemly comes and goes. Any suggestions on how I can get Ram to honor the recalls would be helpful. Thanks again for for time and input.

It really depends on the individual dealers. If there is a small dealer around try them they usually are better to work with

Still waiting on relay. Was told this morning relays are now available and that dealerships can order 1 per week. As far as the dipstick, they gave me a stubby dipstick with no way to measure trans fluid level. I didn’t realize it, overfilled, now I have to pay to get trans drained and refilled. Hoping I get reimbursed since they gave me a “dipstick” with no measuring capabilities. I also agree with above, seems most dealerships these days don’t give a rats ass

They have an updated design with new dipstick tube and full length dipstick. Ask your dealer for the updated parts

Already got the dipstick tube done, didn’t come with full length dipstick though, just stubby. Waiting on full length dipstick and relay currently. Got appt Monday, so I’ll let you guys know what they say

The first time they would not have changed the tube with the short dipstick they would have only changed the vent tube and swapped your OEM stick for the short one.

Hi Swill,
Can you send us a message with your VIN and dealer? We would like to look further into this for you.

No just them, RAM asks you to reach out to them. I did, nothing but the runaround. I called RAM to get some help all they did was give a list of dealership. Google can do that. I still have 3 open recalls. Only one they say they can fix. I gave up my F250 for this Ram 2500. I am thinking I made a bad choice.
