I'm lost!

Not physically, but mentally! I have read through pages and pages of posts here, read many online tire reviews but non have given me the 'that's the tire I need' moment. So I'm hoping some reading this will be in my situation and share their recommendations.
2021 3500 dually tradesman with 17" rims, cummins HO. 80% highway/country roads unladen, 20% hauling a 25' deckover gooseneck pretty well loaded up.

My factory tires with 29k miles are pretty worn but, tread wise ,looked usable still but one of the fronts de-laminated yesterday. I've noticed the dually seems pretty hard on fronts. So what would be a good a good replacement? I've always used BFG A/Ts on my other trucks but I just can't see them holding up on this one. I don't need off road capability as such but I do live on a farm, haul a horse trailer occasionally and deliver hay on the deckover often to grass/gravel yards. My main 'want' is quiet, smooth and stable on the highway but also hard wearing .... is that the unicorn of tires? I really liked the sound of the new Michelin XTL but they only come in 20"

Any recommendations from people in my situation appreciated!

Michelin Defender. It gets no more quiet or better riding than these tires right here.

There isn't a definitive "that's the tire I need" answer. If there was there wouldn't be so many multi page tire threads.

I can't argue with vdrsnk about Michelin's, they are quiet, great riding, and long wearing. But, very expensive and to me not the best choice for your description. You've used A/T tires over the years, were they quiet enough for you? My current favorite is Falken Wildpeak AT3W, I've worn out a set on my truck after about 45,000 miles, will run them another few thousand and then get a new set for winter. Relatively quiet, great ride, and I'm happy with the wear I got out of them. It looks from your name like you are in the south, so the really good winter traction is probably not a factor for you like it is me.

I'd say go with non-A/T highway tires except for your description of farm use, think you should stay with A/T's.

IMHO avoid BFG at all costs. They are easily trashed on an HD truck, especially fronts on a dually.

I’ve had a lot of different tires over the 10 trucks in the past few years. Recently joined the Falken cult and glad I did. Put the new AT4W on my 18 mega cab and headed to the smokies this week. Well if you’ve paid attention to any news you know what’s happening up there. We had to cancel our trip and head home but drove through heavy rain at highway speeds, I have a heavy foot, and they never skipped a beat or got out of shape. I was pushing the limits to get out of the mess. They are quiet as well, but noise doesn’t bother me. So far, hugely impressed

Yeah that's what I was thinking. I've had them on K5 Blazers and my 2500 Ram but I don't think they'd do well on the front of a dually. The Falken AT4W seems to be a good option except for their fuel consumption rating, having a high rolling resistance ..... yeah I know , 4 ton truck and fuel consumption concerns The Agilis Crossclimate seem pretty good, just not sure how firm the ride would be. Wear life is long, apparently quiet. Be nice to hear from someone with experience of these.

Have you read reviews on those? Specifically on DRW trucks? Seems many are unhappy with them. I googled them cause I was unfamiliar with this tire and went to their website and found reviews

I've not found reviews from people with DRW but have been watching more videos and it would seem they are more of a commercial use only tire and strangely, wear badly when not loaded. Weird but ....
so, scratch the Agilis.

Go to their website, majority of the bad reviews are DRW. Really interesting to see for a tire marketed for them.

Yeah I've just tried to find it again but couldn't, where on there website (I think) they actually say that you can experience unusual tread wear when not fully loaded. They seem popular on vehicles with a fairly constant weight like motorhomes, travel trailers, service trucks etc.
I've watched so many videos and read so much yesterday and this morning, I think I've nailed it down to Falken AT4W or the HT02. More likely the AT4W as the HT02 reports are leaning towards a firmer ride and I don't tow frequently enough anymore to warrant that.

See if that works. I think you’ll be happy with the Falkens based off the number of people who love them. I haven’t seen any bad reports on them. The Toyo AT also has good reviews. Depending on the size you can get F Load which mine are which will help in wearing
