I've been a long time Duramax owner. Couldn't stand the looks anymore, Dodge nailed the aesthetics out of the park on this one. Glad I made the switch.
Week 1: Level, tires wheels...

My last 2 trucks (over a16 yr period) were a GMC an Chevy 1500s regular cabs. I set out thinking of getting another GMC an probably a Denali 25 or 3500. But when it came to dealing with dealers during Corvid forget about it ! They wouldn't budge off Sticker. A local Nissan Dealer had a used 2020 2500 Ram crew cab Cummins only 800 miles on it. I took it for a test ride an really enjoyed it. When it came to price they wanted 74k for a 78k window stickered truck, SO SEEYA ! I went looking around me an found a dealer to order me a 13 thousand dollar more option truck . An only pay 3k more. Which I am extremely HAPPY for ! My new truck should be in my driveway in less than a month I cant wait !

Welcome. My last few trucks where chev 3/4 tons as well. I went and got a price on a new At4 3/4 but couldn't get over the looks. Wound up buying a 3500 Laramie and am very pleased so far!

Congrats and welcome to the madhouse.

I'm curious why the GM fans don't turn to GMC, at least the grille isn't so garish.

Yeah, im a journeyman lineman

How do you like it? That’s what I’m hoping to get into when I get out of the service here in a few months

Edit - sorry this is probably not the right place for this question

100% agree the GMC is better looking to me. For me it was. 1. the interior is really dated still. Ram and even ford put a better interior in imo. (man ford loves plastic) 2. I was going gas this round. The 6.6/6sp is a terrible combo compared to the 6.4/8sp and 7.3/10sp.

The GMC isn't terrible in the Denali Trim, in my opinion. But... As nice as the ride is, it's still a weak chassis.

Depends on the company you work for. Find an IBEW covered company if you can. The right one will pay for your line school. Sign the books in the union and wait for the phone call to go to work. Be prepared to travel.

I sent you a private message. I can get you all the info there. Long story short. I love it. Been great for me and my family.

Keep your bags packed. Find an ibew apprenticeship. Work hard. Take your licks. Get your ticket and do whatever the **** you want.
